The First Berserker: Khazanfeatures many entertaining side quests. One such mission, Lacrima, can be done right after killing Trokka. In order to trigger this quest from the Spectral Portal Heart of Pell Los, choose Lake City Aldevir and then select Lacrima.
You have to fight several Failed Creations to make your way through the area. Fighting them is annoying, but we will give you an overview of their attacks, which will help you win the fights. Here, we will also guide you on where to find the Jarling and a Soulstone during this mission.
How To Complete The Lacrima Quest
Jarling Location
Once you teleport to the quest area,activate the Blade Nexus,and just ahead you will find Daphrona. Talk to her and go to the left.
Keep going in that direction, andyou will find some enemies ahead. Kill them before they explode on you. If they jump toward you,make sure to dodge as soon as they are about to hit youto avoid the blast.
Go down, and there will be even more enemies. You need to look out for the giant one, asyou can’t stagger him with normal hits. However, fighting these small fries won’t be difficult at all, so defeat them and go out of the room.A Failed Creation is waiting for youon the other side of the bridge.
Lure the small enemies to your side and defeat them first. The Failed Creation won’t approach you, as he will be shooting fireballs from the other side. Now,go to the cover on your left at the start of the bridge(the fireballs won’t hit you this way). Use your ranged attacks to defeat the Failed Creation.
verify to hit him on the head andcharge up your shot to the max to deal maximum damage. Defeat him and collect the red item just ahead. It will bethe Soul Eater’s Scroll.
Now go left and take a left again.You will noticesome barrels: destroy them, and you will findthe Jarling is just ahead. Now, go to the right to loot the chest.
Soulstone Location
After you have looted the chest, go back to the room you came from and make your way to the east. Then, go down the staircase and defeat the enemy ahead. After defeating him,absorb the Lacrima and go left. Now, don’t fall off just yet. Get on the left wooden platform and drop from the left when you reach its end.
After dropping down,pick up the Ghost Hilt and drop down again. There will be some exploding enemies and a golem-type creature. Defeat them and go out of the room. On your right, there will be another exploding enemy, sodefeat him and pick up three Netherworld Minerals.
On the opposite side of the wooden bridge, there will be another Failed Creation. A wall on the left side is a little higher, which can help you cheese him using ranged attacks, butit will also obstruct your vision. So, it is better to fight the enemy at close range.
Defeat the small fries first andmake your way to the Failed Creation. you’re able to lure the enemies to the other side of the bridge to fight them first.
How To Defeat The Failed Creation
This enemy is even more annoying to fight at close range, soyou will need to be on your guard all the time.
When you approach this enemy, he may do a flame attack by moving his hand left to right. you may dodge to the inside and use this opportunity to damage him.
Upon approaching him,he would usually start the fight using an unblockable and unparryable attack. The Failed Creation will charge his right hand and hit you. It is a little delayed, so as soon as he leaps toward you, counterattack.If you aren’t feeling lucky,you’re able to simply dodge.
If you counterattack successfully, though, you will get a big window to damage him.
His most annoying attack is when he hits you and rolls on the ground. The Failed Creation will diagonally open both of his hands andhit you with his right hand. Parry or dodge that attack when he rotates. After rolling on the ground,he will hit you again, so get ready to dodge or parry.
His attack isn’t over just yet, asthe Failed Creation will now spread flames towards you. Run in the opposite direction, or you will be affected by the flame status effect. He will also continuously move his spear in the direction where he is shooting flames, sorunning away is better.
The enemy can also use his spear to attack you. He will charge the spear and hit you, sotime your parry accordingly. After the first strike, he will hit you again with the spear with just a little delay. Parry both attacks andperform a combo on him.
Another attack you need to be very careful of is when he starts channeling fire in his right hand. As soon as you see him doing it,get ready to parry as he will instantly strike from his spearand follow up with a smash from his right hand. Parry that and hit the enemy again.
He also has a different variation of this attack. You can tell the difference bythe placement of his hand. The Failed Creation will not charge the attack as much.It will look like he is now off balance and can’t strike again, but that is when he will hit you with the spear, so be ready to dodge or parry. The enemy may hit you with a spear twice.
It can use spears randomly during the fight. One variation is that when both of his hands are down,he will use the spear to strike from above and follow it up with a slash attack. Attack him again, and you should be able to finish him off now.
Now, on the right side of the stairs ,there is a room. Go inside and open the chest for some loot. Then,head up the stairs, and there is another Failed Creationon the other side of the platform.
Make your way toward him and defeat him just like you defeated the previous one. After that,go up the stairs to your east and destroy the Soulstone.
Finishing The Quest
Now, go back and use the wooden platform to go to the other side.Absorb the Lacrima, go to the other side again, and there will be even more Lacrima to absorb at the end of the room. However, there is another Failed Creation right beside it, sodefeat him first.
On your way to the Failed Creation,you may have noticed stairs. Use them to go down andactivate the Blade Nexus. Just ahead of you is the boss fight of this mission.
The boss is another Failed Creation, soyou shouldn’t have any trouble defeating him. However, there will be some enemies with him, so defeat them first and then focus on the boss alone.
you’re able to prevent getting hit by flame attacks by just moving left or right from long range. You can also lure the boss to do another attack by approaching him. However, before doing that,ensure the enemies are on the other side of the arena so you can defeat them easily.
Do note that the enemies you just defeated can appear again, so do not dilly-dally too much and try to wrap up the fight as soon as possible.
After you have taken over 50 percent of the boss’s health,he will channel flames throughout his body, so as soon as you see this animation, run away. He will start shooting flames around him with his hand, which can kill you pretty quickly.
The Failed Creations you fought before can also do this attack, but you are more likely to see it during the boss fight.
Lacrima Quest Rewards
Finish the boss off, andthe mission will be over. After defeating him,you will get Transmutation Mist, Transmutation Shard, a random weapon or accessories, and a random piece from the Great General Set.
