There’s a lot to do inThe Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, and if you want to take a shortcut and avoid doing all the extra work, the game still has a few exploits that you may use to your advantage.
Lockpicking in the game is already quite difficult, but there’s a glitch that allows you to infinitely level up your Security skill, which can make it a little easier to level up your character, and in turn, make picking locks a little easier too.

How To Do The Lockpicking Glitch
The first step in performing the lockpicking glitch is tolook for a locked container. It can be anything from a locked chest to a locked door. You can perform this exploit during the tutorial in the Imperial Sewers, even before you come out into the open world.
After finding a locked container or door, interact with it toenter the lockpicking minigame. Now, depending on the difficulty of the lock, you’ll needat least one tumbler that’s already set in place. If you’re interacting with a Very Easy lock, you’re able to use any of the four tumblers that are already set.

The lock’s difficulty level has no effect on how much experience you’ll get per press, so feel free to use this trick even on easy locks.
Now,move your lockpick under a tumbler that is already setand repeatedlypress the Set Tumbler button. If you keep doing it a few times, you’ll hear the sound of your Security skill leveling up. You can exit the minigame to check if it’s working as intended.

Keep doing so repeatedly, and you’ll be able tolevel up your Security skill to level 100in a few minutes, which will allow you to gain a few levels easily while also letting you reap the benefits of a Master of the Security skill.
As your Security skill levels up, it will gradually take more button presses to reach the next level.
