Ultimate Weapons inThe First Descendantare great because they add to your already powerful arsenal. You could have an Ultimate Weapon that inflicts fire damage, adding more power to the team’s overall attack. On the other hand, like most things in the game, it can be a time sink to earn at least one.
To make matters slightly worse, The First Descendant doesn’t do a good job explaining how to farm Ultimate Weapons. Fortunately, this guide will walk you through the entire process.

How To Farm For Ultimate Weapons
The title of this guide is a little misleading as you don’t farm for the weapon itself. Rather, you’ll be grinding for research material to make the Ultimate Weapon.
Before you go out and attempt to get materials, you’ll need to know what you’ll be farming for. This is done bylocating Anais in Albion. You can find herwest of the spawn point. She’s responsible for making things like other Descendants, so you might spend a lot of time with her.

When you speak to her, press onthe Research Request option in the main menu. In her storefront, navigate to the left-hand bar and press Weapon. This will take you to the area where you can research the Ultimate Weapons.
After you find the weapon you want to invest time in, select it. The next screen will show you all the information such ashow much it costs, how long it takes to research, and the materials you’ll need.

You’ll also notice that these weapons like theThunder CageneedWeapon Mastery. To get this, use a weapon of your choice. The more you use it, the more Mastery XP you’ll earn. This will help you level up your Weapon Mastery. When you have enough, head to Prime Handson Albion to level up your Weapon Mastery.
Now that you know what you need, it’s time to start getting the resources. To make life easier, press on any of the materials to show you where to get them. For example, for the Thunder Cage, you’ll needThunder Cage Synthetic Fiber.

By pressing on that ingredient, you’ll learn that it comes from theKuiper Mine in Sterile Lands. Once you find out where it is, you are now free to go and attempt to acquire the resources for the weapon. This is where you will be farming for materials,by re-doing the mission as many times as you want. For the higher-level weapons, you might be required to do more than one mission.
It’s also worth pointing out that all these weaponsneed a blueprint. Their drop rate may differ as opposed to the other materials. If you don’t get the blueprint on the first run, attempt a few more times till it drops.

You may have to do missions you’ve already done. If that’s the case, you can find them in theAcquisition Info window. However, if you can’t, try locating them at theInfiltration Operations Terminal or Special Operations Terminal. This should be located in themain lobby area.
How To Craft Ultimate Weapons
When you have found all the materials, earned enough Gold, and leveled up your Weapon Mastery to the level required, you’re able to now craft an Ultimate Weapon.
Make your wayback to Anais, and locate the weapon you want to make. Before you can research and craft the weapon, you must research all the materials needed first. Keep in mind all the materials required to make the weaponhave their own research time.

Researching each material requiresa certain amount of Gold. Crafting these weapons is expensive, so ensure that you have enough capital.
After all is said and done, you’re able to nowresearch and earn the weapon itself. As mentioned, each weapon has research time. With the same Thunder Cage as an example,it’ll take about 4 hoursof in-game time for it to complete. Each gun has different research times, so take that into account before investing time to make an Ultimate Weapon.

However, if you haveKuiper Shards, you won’t have to wait at all. This will immediately make the weapon for you.
Earning these shards is somewhat easy, but the best way to obtain a lot in a small amount of time is bycompleting the missionsand playing The First Descendant on hard. To unlock the hard mode of the game, you have to havebeaten the campaign first.
