Foraging and collecting resources can be both a blessing and a curse inPalia. Some of them can be found in abundance, while other, rarer items will be a bit more scarce. Or, when you suddenly need that one specific thing, it can feel like it no longer exists in the game (but you’re surrounded by it any other time).

Batterfly Beans, which spawns in Elderwood Forest, is a gatherable item that, no matter what, can seem quite scarce. Whether you need it to complete a quest, or you’re trying to make some Bean Burgers, we’re here to tell you exactly where you can get some of these elusive beans.

How To Get Batterfly Beans

Foraging

Batterfly Beans can be difficult to find, as thespawn rate for them isn’t as highas other plants in Elderwood. But while plants like Elderwood Orchid and Piksii Berries spawn just about anywhere, you’ll only find Batterfly Beans around the base of thelarge, twisted trees with blue leaves.

You’ll mostly find these trees aroundMitana Grove, Honeymiel Slope, Mauvais Way, Okanaa Bog, and a few in Deep Woods.

Farming

Because the spawn rate for foraging Batterfly Beans is so low, your best option for getting as many as you can is toplant them on your plot. Not only is it more reliable, the yield you can get from one plant on your plot is aboutfive times what you’ll get finding one plant in Elderwood.

As you forage the beans in Elderwood, you shouldreceive a packet or two of seeds. To plant them on your plot, make sure youhave a two by two sectionof your farming plot available for it.

Now, as long as you keep watering the beans when needed, itshould take six in-game days to mature. Once the crop is fully grown, you may harvest them about four or five times before you need to replant. Additionally, any crops planted near your beanswill receive a harvest boost.

If you have the ability to use a Seed Collector, you can use it toget more Batterfly Bean seedsso you can plant more. You’ll never run out of beans again!
