Parents will do anything to protect their children, and the thought of a child going missing is every parent’s worst nightmare, especially when there’s nothing they can do to help. InThe Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, you’ll encounter all sorts of quests that explore these intense emotions and situations, and one of them is A Shadow Over Hackdirt quest.
In this quest, a concerned mother, the owner of a local shop, realizes her daughter has been missing for several days. Her last known location? A strange, unsettling village, which only heightens her worry.
How To Start A Shadow Over Hackdirt Quest
In order to start the Shadow over Hackdirt quest, you first need tomake your way to Chorroland thenseek out Seed-Neeus at her shop,Northern Goods and Trade.
When you speak to her, she will inform you thather daughter, Dar-Ma, has gone missingand will ask for your help in locating her.
You might not get this quest immediately when you first speak with Seed-Neeus, however, one thing that worked for us is just waiting one or two days while you are in Chorrol.
The shop owner will then ask you if you can help her, and if you agree,the Shadow over Hackdirt quest will begin.
Where To Find Dar-Ma
The last known position of the daughter, Dar-Ma, is Hackdirt,and you need to make your way there to investigate the location.Hackdirt is located just south of Chorrol.
When you arrive, you will need to ask the people around about the missing daughter, but everyone will deny knowing anything, and there will be barely any clues.
What you need to do ishead to Moslin’s Inn, and just at the back of the inn, there will bea trapdoor that leads to a cavern you’re able to lockpick.
Once you do, go inside and be prepared, asyou’ll encounter multiple Hackdirt Brethren that you need to deal with.
After dealing with them, look to your left, andyou will find the poor daughter locked in a cage.
How To Complete A Shadow Over Hackdirt Quest
Speak to Dar-Ma and agree to help her, thenlockpick the cage to free her. After speaking with her, she will start following you.Take the ladder that leads to the Natch Pinder house, as it is the safest option.
Once you’re ready,fast travel to Chorrol,but be aware that some Hackdirt people may be waiting to attack.Just make sure to protect Dar-Ma.
In some scenarios, Dar-Ma may be defeated by the hostile people of Hackdirt, but you can still complete the quest by going to her mother and delivering the bad news.
However, it’s always better to reload a previous save to keep her alive and successfully complete the quest with her safe.
Go to Northern Goods and Trade and speak with her mother, Seed-Neeus, tolet her know her daughter is safe. She will be grateful for your help, and as a reward,your Mercantile skill will be increased.
