Once you start playingAssassin’s Creed Shadows, you’ll get introduced to the Knowledge Points system quite early in the game. Apart from leveling up your account, you also have to participate in various side activities to gain Knowledge Points and increase your rank.
You can unlock high-tier abilities on both characters when you gain these ranks, and taking part in different Hidden Trails found across the map is one of the most fun. You can find a total of ten paths as you explore, and here’s where you can get them.
Where To Find Every Hidden Trail
If you want to find all the paths in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you’llhave to reach different corners of Japan through its roadssince the mountain path can be quite confusing. Here’s how you can find all the paths in the game:

Izumi Settsu
Path of Valor
This is likely the first path you’ll encounter in the game, and it can befound to the northwest of theIzumi Settsu province. You can get it right above the Koyana Ruins viewpoint in Senri Hills.

Yamashiro
Path of the Brave
You can see the Eagle’s Nest region on the southwestern boundary of Yamashiro, and this path can befound in the river right below this area.

Harima
Path of Peril
You can easily find this onceyou reach the northwest edge of Harima. You’ll also see Mount Seppiko Kakurega right beside it.

Tamba
Path of Silence
The map’s zoom is visible on the bottom right side of your screen, and Tamba’s path can be foundright below where “Tamba” of Tamba Highlands is writtenon the map in 2x Zoom.

Wakasa
Path of Wisdom
You’ll see Mount Uchinakao region on the northeastern side of Wakasa, and this pathcan be found in the river to the west of this area. It’s directly south of the Hikidan-jo Ruins viewpoint.

Yamato
Path of Secrets
You can easily find this on the western boundary of Yamato right above the Mizumi Pagoda viewpointand the bottom left of Katsuragi.

Path of Serenity
This path can be found in the southern Yamato rightbelow where Yoshino is writtenon the 2x zoomed map.

Iga
Path of Shadows
You’ll see the Nabari Wilds area on the southern side of Iga, and this Hidden Trail can be found to the south of it near the province’s boundary.You can go southwest from the Nabari Lookout viewpointto get it.

Kii
Path of the Chosen
On the eastern edge of Kii, you’ll see the Iseji Trails area on the map. Godirectly east from this area until you reach near the waterand you may see this path.

Omi
Path of the Blade
In Omi, you’ll see a river going through the land on the northeastern side of the Azuchi area. Thispath can be found in the middle of this river.
What Are Hidden Trails?
Now that you know the locations of every Hidden Trail you can find in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, it’s also important to know what they are. Unlike otheractivities like Kuji-Kiri, Kata, or Kofuns, this isnot one where you have to do something specific to start it. As the name suggests, Hidden Trails are just paths.
When you reach their location, you’ll see various things colored in yellow.These can be flags, walls, or yellow platforms on trees. You essentially have to follow the paths through these yellow bits until you reach a rare chest at the end where you can get a purple rarity gear alongside the rewards of 1,000 EXP and one Knowledge Point for each path.
The Hidden Trails are muchmore difficult at night or in winter seasonas the yellow color gets hidden.
