When you take the first look on the map ofAssassin’s Creed: Shadows, you’ll quickly realize just how much there is for you to explore. The game features a total of nine big regions, with each one having a minimum level recommendation if you want to defeat enemies without taking too much damage.
While you may easily go through these regions by following the main story, there’s also a ton of side content if you want to learn more about this world. Thrown to the Dogs is one such side quest, and here’s how you can beat it.
How To Start Thrown To The Dogs
For most of the side quests in Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, you have to visit a specific location at a specific point in the main story. However, Thrown to the Dogs isone of the few side quests that automatically start after you finish the prologueand get your own hideout in the Izumi Settsu region.
You’ll find this quest in the objective menu with its marker on the map in the western side of the area. you may find it to the right of where Osaka is written on the map. When you get to the area,use observe mode by pressing LT/L2/right-click depending on your platform and you’ll see the dog’s locationmarked with a blue shiny dot.
Where To Find The Key
After a small cutscene with the dog, you’ll have to follow him through a small path leading to a few buildings. However, before you get there,you’ll have multiple bandits blocking your way and you’ll have to defeat themto make the dog go further. Eventually, you’ll reach a location with a few NPCs.
At this point, you’ll get an option to either defeat the NPCs or let them go, but the next main part of thequest is where you have to find a key to the chest in the grave. You’ll have multiple blue shiny dots around the area, but the key is on the dot that you may see underneath one of the buildings.
It looks like the dot is right at the building’s entrancebut you won’t be able to interact with anythingwhen you get inside.
To get this key, you have to head to the back side of the building,where you’ll find a small hole at the bottom that you can crawl through. In this hole, you can find the key and take it back to the grave where you first found the dog. The quest will come to an end here.
