Assassin’s Creed Shadowsopen world is full of many things, but one of the most time-consuming yet rewarding and fun challenges scattered throughout the world are castles. These castles can range dramatically in difficulty and in level, but they all offer meaningful progression.

Sakamoto Castle is one of themiddle-ground castles, where it isn’t as difficult as some of the hardest, but it’s not as easy as some of the easier. Much of the difficulty in this castle comes down to the layout, which gives you very few options when it comes to maneuvering through the outer and inner sections.

How To Find Sakamoto Castle

Sakamoto Castle isin the Omi Region, on thesouthwest portion of Lake Biwa. It’s just about directly west and across the water from Azuchi, and extends off of a fairly robust urban area of the city of Sakamoto.

How To Enter Sakamoto Castle

Sakomoto Castle has a few entrances, despite it being on the coast.

Theeasiest ways to enter are on the water-side, which is on the east side of the castle. Here, you canclimb on a rock and use your grapple line to crawl onto the wallor take out the single guard standing watch on the staircase. There are, however, still more ways to enter the castle:

Where To Find Every Samurai

There arethree Samurai in Sakomoto Castle, and they’re fairly isolated from one another.

First Samurai

The first samurai is in theouter section of the castle, near the armory. There’s a small wooden stage that’s been built there, and that samurai is on that stage, along with two other enemies standing in front of him.

This samurai has an explosive pot sitting right next to him; detonating that pot will give you a good start on taking down his health, and it will also take out at least one of the other guards nearby.

Second Samurai

The second samurai is almostdirectly east of the last one, but in theinner section of the castle walls. This samurai is standing and watching a guard train. There’s another guard east of them that might see a fight break out, so if you want to be safe, take that guard down before any fight ensues.

Third Samurai

The third samurai ison the third floor of the main building of the castle. They’re equipped with a weapon that has considerable reach, and while that might not be a problem outside, it’s something that you’ll need to keep in mind if you decide to take this samurai on in a straight fight.

Where To Find The Legendary Chest

The legendary chest for Sakamoto Castle can be opened once you’ve taken care of all the samurai, and isfound in the same room as the third samurai. This legendary chestcontains the Ship Captain’s Gearfor Yasuke, which gives you a 50 percent chance to ignore incoming ranged attacks.

Smuggler Resources

There is a locked buildingwith Smugglers Resourcesfor your Hideoutdirectly south of the main castle; there are multiple guards walking around the castle grounds with keys, but the guard patrolling in front of that building should have one, and he’ll be the easiest by proximity.

There’s another building of the same type to the north of the main castle building; this one is also locked, but it can be opened with the same key. No matter where you get your key for the Sakamoto Castle, you’ll be able to enter any locked area.
