WithSchedule 1being in early access, you can bet you’ll run into issues. Some may be a glitch that will require you to simply restart the game, while others might be a lot bigger. Having problems come up may cause your save file to get corrupted, which will result in your progression getting thrown out the window.

Knowing where the game is saved on your computer can help you avoid the heartache of redoing everything. You’ll be able to recover data and also back up all the progress you’ve made. Locating Schedule 1’s save file can be tricky, but this guide will show you where to look.

How To Save Your Game

Before locating your saved game, you have to have one saved first. Saving your game can be overlooked since Schedule 1 briefly goes over it, which could make you forget the process.

The game does feature anauto-save system, but it’s different from other titles. To auto-save, you have to sleep, meaning you’llneed a bed, which can be boughtfrom Dan’s Hardware.

However, you won’t be able to sleep again until 6pm, so auto-saving is done at certain times. If you’re trying to save before that time (or after),you can still manually save.

This is done by looking at any of thewalls near the main door. For each property you have, like the Barn or Sweat Shop, it should be in the same general area, which is near the entrance.

When you’re at the main entrance, look for a device on the wall. This will allow you to manually save. Both ways of saving your game require acool-down periodbefore you can do it again. But, for manually saving, you’ll just have to waitaround 30 seconds.

A good rule of thumb would be tosave as often as you canto make your experience in Schedule 1 smoother.

Where To Find The Save File

When you first load up Steam, you may think about looking there since that’s the most logical place. However, by searching the local files in the game’s properties, you’ll be led towhere Schedule 1 is installed rather than the save file itself. This is because thelocation of the saved game is elsewhere, and there are a few methods to get it.

The first way is by using the following route:

C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\LocalLow\TVGS\Schedule 1\Saves\Your Steam ID.

You should be in the right spot when you can locateSameGame_1.

Since you can have multiple saved files, the number beside each file will be different. If you want to back them up together, you’d need to select and move them all.

By following the address above, you’ll be taken to the game’s save file, where you can view all the files available.

Method 2

If you’re having trouble finding the main AppData file, which many players are, the alternative method could make that worry go away.

To start, first open theRun program by typing Run in the search bar of the Windows Start Menu. Once it’s open, input%appdata% in the text field, and click Ok.

Next, the AppaData file location will open up.

From here, follow the aforementioned path, and you’ll land where the saved files are.

How To Back Up A Saved Game

Having copies of your progress is highly recommended. As mentioned, things can go wrong due to Schedule 1’s state. Thankfully, to protect your files, backing up is rather easy.

After you find where the save file is on your computer,right-click to copy or cutthe file and move it to somewherethat isn’t the Schedule 1 saved file. This could be either an external hard drive or another location on your computer.

If you have mods orcheats, make sure you’re backing up your game as you’re using them. They may cause your main save file to become corrupt.

Then, on the off chance of something happening to your original saved file, you canmove the backup from where it is back to Schedule 1’s main save file. When you open the game again, your progress should still be intact.
