Every Xenoblade games preaches tolerance, butXenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Editionmakes that the most blatant. It takes the ‘xeno’ in its name very literally, with NLA continually filling up with more and more alien species as the plot advances and as you finish missions. Many are taking refuge from the Ganglion, happy to help humanity for that shared goal of survival.
And as it turns out, not everyone under the Ganglion are quite happy with their place there. The Prone Sweet Prone mission is a great example of this, but also of how difficult the game can be. The mission itself isn’t too hard. It’s everyone else around the area that makes it hard.

How To Start Prone Sweet Prone
To start Prone Sweet Prone, a few requirements must be met. The first of these is to have completedChapter Five, though it is very possible it will take you a fair bit longer to naturally discover this mission due to its second requirement.
You must also have asurvey rate of 40% on Oblivia, which would require planting quite a few Data Probes, gathering up treasures, completing quests, and defeating tyrants. It can take a surprisingly long time to hit that 40%.

Once you do, however, the quest will appear back in NLA. Stella will be standing outside the Blade Tower and will say she’s received a distress signal from the Scabland Fortress deep in Oblivia from a seemingly new xenoform. It’s your job to go free them.
Safely Navigating Scabland Fortress
Whether you’ve encountered Scabland Fortress before or this is your first time heading there, you will quickly realise a rather major issue -it is packed with enemies level 40 and above. Considering this is a mission with a recommended level of 21 and above, you will quickly come to the conclusion that this area is far above any reasonable degree of completion.
That is where some secrecy comes into play. There is no real way of beating all these enemies unless you’re vastly overleveled. The very first step before taking on this mission ismaking sure you have a Skell. It won’t exactly let you defeat the hordes of enemies here, but it will let you jump right past them quite easily.

Despite your Skell being massive, enemies still have quite a thin cone of vision. Provided you jump over and land behind them, they simply won’t detect you. Your Skell will also let youscale the cliff walls much more easily, so do this while avoiding combat to reach where these new xenoforms are being kept prisoner.
There are large turrets around the area that can detect you from far off, andthey will stagger you if they land a hit, which can potentially hit you mid-jump. They shouldn’t deal a massive amount of damage, but they have a chance of dropping you into a fort full of much stronger enemies.
If you are struggling to avoid being detected while in the Skell, you can get out anduse Shadowrunneron anyone who has it to try run all the way to where the prisoners are being kept. This is a much slower method, though one that guarantees you won’t be detected if you can keep up your TP. Blood Sacrifice is a great Art for this.
Once you reach the objective, you will automatically be brought into dialogue, which is an effective way of exiting combat if you were detected along the way.
Freeing The Xenoforms
When you approach the prisoner, they will inform you that they are locked in, and you will have to acquire the key to free them. This can be done in two different ways -defeat Enforcer Glennarfor their key, or find another onehidden on the other side of the camp.
Both options are viable, though Glennar is found at the very bottom of Scabland Fortress surrounded by much higher-level enemies. If you feel confident you’re able to beat them without drawing the ire of others, feel free to do so. It might just be quite difficult.
If you manage to defeat Glennar before other enemies defeat you,you will still get the key after you respawn.
If you have a Skell, running to the other side of the fort is a much safer option. It is located atop a tower, meaningyou can jump right up to it with your Skellwithout having to get out, and even avoid combat entirely if you keep to the edges of the area.
Regardless of the method through which you acquired the key, return to the xenoforms now to free them, only to discover they are Prone as well, but from a different clan. They are from the Tree Clan, who are much more peaceful compared to the Prone you have already been fighting, the Cavern Clan. In exchange for protection, they are happy to help humanity fight the Ganglion.
After returning to NLA and inducting the Tree Clan to the city, you are given a reward of15,000 Credits, 240 EXP, and the Gladiis Series holofigure.
