When you arrive at the Horns Of The South Keep inTainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon, you’ll meet many of the men that serve as Keepers there, such as the man in charge, Fearghas, the blacksmith, the healer, and several others. One in particular, Gwylan, has a… particular obsession.

As someone from a family of fishermen, Gwylan has grown to hate seagulls and carries that hatred with him everywhere he goes. It hasn’t gotten any better for him either, being stationed in a keep by the shore where seagulls tend to flock. If you don’t mind his ramblings, he has some seagull-related work for you.

How To Make The Seaguller’s Mask

(Ir)rational Hatred is aside quest given by Keeper Gwylanat theHorns Of The Shadow Keepthat starts achain of side quests for him.

You can alsoreach Eogan the gardener from this same bridge and pick up another side quest from him,Pumpkin Peril.

You can find him by going towards theback side of the keep, up the hill,climbing the stairs around the nearby tower, and then going on to the bridge leading to another tower. Speak with him, and he’llmention his seagull plightand ask you tofind something to scarethem off.

Goback to the keep’s entranceand take thestairs up to the central building, then enter thedoor that says Captain’s Quarters. Inside is thekeep’s museum, and you’ll need tospeak to Rhyddericin the back room, who willtell you about the Seaguller’s Mask.

If youcan’t craft Leather yet, you can purchase the recipe for crafting it from Margh at the Hunter’s Camp for 300 Gold.

Now, head toOsbryht’s blacksmithing areaand use theGrindstone behind him. You’ll have therecipe for a Seaguller’s Mask, which takestwo Leathers and two Feathersto make.

Bring theSeaguller’s Mask back to Gwylanon the bridge; he’ll put it on, and you’ll berewarded with some EXPand the consumableGiant Feather, which gives you apermanent increase of five to your max Encumbrance. Then, you canspeakto him a second timeto start thenext quest in the chain, Eternal War.

How To Craft And Place The Seagull Traps

For theside quest Eternal War, Gwylan wants you tomake and place some trapsfor the seagulls now, as he’s still having issues with them.

Head back to theGrindstone by Osbryht’s shop, and you’ll have asecond recipe unlockedrelating to the seagulls:the Bird Trap. You’ll need tomake four in total, and each one needsone Fish Fillet,two Wood, andone Boneto craft.

Can be looted from crates, sacks, and barrels anywhere, especially those near the sea.

Wood

Can be looted from crates and barrels, obtained by chopping wood at Chopping Spots, such as the one inside the keep near the cart full of barrels, or when identifying items found on enemies killed during the Wyrdnight. Can also be purchased from

Bone

Dropped by any type of skeletal Undead enemy, and tons of them can be found in the Forgotten Cemetery north of the Horns Of The South Keep.

All Seagull Trap Locations

Thefour trapseach have aparticular location where they can be placed, and they’re spread outacross the entire keep. Whenapproaching the right spot, you’ll get aprompt to Set A Trap.

You canfind several food items and crafting reagents in the crates and barrels inside the towers, and taking them isn’t considered stealinglike it is in other parts of the keep.

When all the traps are in their spots,head back to Gwylan and speak with hima third time. As a reward, you’ll getsome EXP and 200 Gold, and progress to thesecond part of Eternal War.

Havingone Perception gives you a 25 percent chanceof succeeding, while having at least four guarantees the option succeeds.

Head back down to the central floor andspeak with Fearghasabout Gwylan. During the conversation with Fearghas, you’ll have anoption to bring up Gwylan getting worse, and you’ll need topass a Perception check.
