Fields of Mistriaalso lets you keep some pets other than the farm animals on your ranch. You can have a cat or a dog to help you out with gathering materials, which in turn will help you to quickly collect enough resources for quests.
While you are limited to a single pet, you can always change the way they look at no cost. There are many colors to choose from, including some eccentric ones like pink and purple. Taking good care of your pets and feeding them tasty treats will also help you become closer to them.
How To Get A Pet
If you are a returning player and can’t find a pet anywhere, youneed to sleep once to get a dream. During this dream, you will be prompted toselect the type of pet you want and its name, appearance, and gender. You can choose eithera dog or a cat, depending on your preference. You canonly have one pet at a time.
After you select your pet, it will arrive at your place the next day and make itself at home.
If you are a new player, you will get your pet on Spring 7 during the first year of the game.
How To Change Your Pet’s Appearance
Being limited to a single pet can be a bummer, but you canalways change their appearance or type. You can do that if youselect the animal journal from the menuand choose your pet. From thetab on the right side of the screen, you can select if you want to change your pet to a dog or a cat. You can alsochange their color by choosing from the 12 available colorsfor each pet.

You can also dress up your pets with cute accessories to make them look even cuter.
How To Take Care Of Pets
farm animals, youdon’t need to feed them every day. However, yourpets love treats, so if you feed them some, you will build a closer bond with them. You should alsopet them every day by picking them upand putting them down. You will increase their hearts quickly in no time.

How To Use Pets
Your pets are more useful than simply roaming around your farm being as cute as they can be. You can assign various tasks to them, such ascollecting wood, stone, or forageables. You can do that from the animals menu in the journal andselect the button on the bottom-rightto change their task.
You can onlyassign them one task at a time, so prioritize that depending on what you need. Your pet friends will return with the items during the evening. You will find them inside your house, and they will give you the items collected.
Your pets will not go out when it’s raining, so you cannot assign them tasks on those days.
