Echo farming is one of the most laborious tasks inWuthering Waves. That’s especially true if you’re looking for a rare main stat like Energy Regeneration. Thankfully, the Modifier item was released with update 2.3, which allows for limited but still significant Echo customization to ease the RNG-fest of farming Echoes.
Don’t expect to be swimming in Modifiers, though, as their massive value makes them prime for monetization. Rare as they are, there are still consistent ways to get them, and using them is as simple as it is valuable.
How To Get Modifiers
Modifiers are heavily tied to the monetization systems of Wuthering Waves, but there are still a few ways to get a small quantity for free. Their item description lists three sources, each with different total Modifiers you can claim.

Technically free, but currency is obtained through gacha pulls.
The Oscillated Coral store, which runs on a currency you get when pulling on any banner, carries five Modifiers per update cycle.It’s possible to build up a hefty stock of Oscillated Coral without spending any money, but paying for more pulls awards more of the currency.
Event progression

Free provided you participate in the event.
The only real cost of getting limited event Modifers is the time you spend playing the event content.Events are the best free way to get Modifiers, but you need to be playing the event during its limited award period for the highest value.
The free season pass only offers six Modifiers, whereas the basic premium version awards 30 if you make it all the way to pass level 70. Buying the most expensive pass instantly awards an additional ten Modifiers.
How To Use Modifiers
Usinga Modifier allows you to change the main statof any 5-star Echo. To do so, open the Data Bank menu and click on the icon at the bottom left of the screen.
You canonly use Modifiers on unleveled, unlocked Echoes.If you’ve spent any experience items on them, you’ll receive an error message when you attempt to use a Modifider on them.
Once you select the Echo you want to modify, press the button with the plus sign in it to change its main stat. The stats available arelimited by the cost of the Echo in question. In other words, you can only put rank four stats, such as Crit. Rate and Healing Percentage on rank four Echoes.
Modifiers do not allow you to circumvent an Echo’s cost. And because you’re using them on level zero Echoes,you still might come out of the experience with a horrid sub-stat spread.
We recommendsaving your Modifiers for whenever you get a new character, and only using them for the rarer main stats like Energy Regeneration. You might have to do so multiple times based on how your Echo Tuning goes.
you’re able to also use Modifiers tobuild up a bank of ideal main stat Echoesfor future characters. Stacking Crit Rate and Energy Regeneration four-cost Echoes is probably the best bet, as Crit Damage is more common on 5-star weapons.
