TheDeep Depths Eventmakes its debut inPokemon Gothis week, a brand-new event with its own set of unique features and bonuses. In addition to these bonuses, the Deep Depths Event will also bring a few debuts to the game as well, including two Pokemon appearing for the very first time.

This will be a six-day event, taking place fromWednesday, Jun 22, 2025, at 10am local time, to Monday, June 29, 2025, at 8pm local time.While the Deep Depths Event is active, most aspects of the game will be impacted or changed; read our complete guide below to know exactly what to expect.

Pokemon Go Debut: Nickit And Thievul

You will be able to acquireNickit, and its evolutionThievul, starting with the Deep Depths Event. You will have several opportunities to obtain Nickit throughout this event, available inEggs, as a reward encounter, and in the wild.

You will be able to evolve Nickit into Thievul, its only evolution.

To complete this evolution, it will require50 Nickit Candy, obtained from catching, hatching, or transferring either Nickit or Thievul.

Event Eggs

When collecting7 km Eggsduring this event, they will hatch different Pokemon than those that typically hatch from this type of Egg. Make sure to acquire and hatch as many of these Eggs as you’re able to during this event, giving you the chance to hatch one of the following Pokemon:

Clauncher hatched from Eggs during this event will haveincreased odds of being Shiny.

All players who log into Pokemon Go during the days of this event will be givenfree Timed Research. Complete the different tasks from this Timed Research before the end of the Deep Depths Event to earn:
