Pokemon Gointroduced Mega Absol several years ago, giving players the opportunity to battle against and catch this powerful Pokemon. This week, Pokemon Go is hosting theMega Absol Raid Day, a one-day event centered around completing Raids against Mega Absol.

The Mega Absol Raid Day will be taking place onSunday, June 15, 2025, from 2pm local time to 5pm local time. In addition to Mega Absol’s availability in Mega Raids during this event, there will be several bonuses and features to benefit from; read our complete guide below to ensure you make the most of this short event.

Mega Absolwill be the featured Pokemon for this Raid Day event. In terms of Raid Days, this means that Mega Absol will beavailable to Raid against at several locations during this event, appearing more frequently than normal.

Additionally, all Absol encountered following the successful completion of its Mega Raid will haveincreased chances of being Shiny. Shiny Pokemon are typically difficult to acquire, so verify to take advantage of this unique opportunity!

Free Timed Research

All players who log into Pokemon Go during the hours of the Mega Absol Raid Day will receivefree Timed Research, requiring you to complete specific in-game tasks in exchange for rewards. If this Timed Research is completed before the conclusion of this event, you will be rewarded with:

There will be an event ticket available to purchase in the Pokemon Go in-game shop for this Raid Day, costing $5.00 USD. Those who purchase this event ticket will unlock additional bonuses to benefit from during this Raid Day, including:

Mega Absol Raid Tips

Although the Mega Absol Raid is not the most difficult Mega Raid to complete, it is important that you go into this battle with the proper preparations. This means making sure that you are using Pokemon that are especially strong against Mega Absol, dealing Super Effective damage.

In the case of this Raid battle, this meansusing strong Fighting, Bug, or Fairy-type Pokemon, dealing increased damage against Mega Absol specifically. Additionally, you will want to ensure you are attempting each Mega Absol Raid with thehelp of at least one or two other Trainers.
