Second Sea Progression Guide

Before you can make serious progress in the Second Sea, note thatthe currency here is different. Instead of the familiar Credits from the First Sea,the Second Sea uses Embercoins. These two currencies arenot interchangeable, and you can’t convert one into the other. Fortunately, earning Embercoins follows the same methods as in First Sea:

A common mistake many newcomers make iscontinuing to use their top-tierFirst Sea rods, likeHeaven’s Rodor Rod of the Depths. While they’re still useful,all First Sea rods suffer a 50 percent stat reductionin the Second Sea.

ThoseFirst Sea rods can still outperform the starter rodsyou will find early on in Second Sea, so don’t throw them out just yet. Use them as stepping stones until you can afford something better.
