How To Defeat The Gray Prince

After becoming the Blue Team’s champion, you canspeak with the Gray Princehimself, Agronak gro-Malog, to challenge him. He’ll accept andsend you to Ysabelto set up the match.

You’ll get topick a title for yourself, which you’ll be known as across Cyrodiil. Pick your favorite andget ready for the battle. This time, you canwear whatever armoryou want, so bring your best gear.

Combat In The Arena

The match will go like most of your previous battles, exceptAgronak is set at level ten. If you’re below that level, he’ll be difficult to take down on average difficulty. If you’re on easier difficulties or above level ten, the challenge goes down significantly.Bring potions and healing magicto keep yourself alive, as Agronak will not hold back.

He’s going todefendhis title, and that ends in you being broken on the floor.

To put distance between the two of you, keep running in circles backwardsaround the arena. Just make sure to watch out for thewooden stakes around the edgesthat will skewer you if you get too close.

Keep whittling away at the Gray Prince’s health, ashis enchanted armorwill give him plenty of defense. Once he goes down, remove his rainmentand bring it to Ysabel to receive your own Rainment of Valor.

Origin Of The Gray Prince Quest

If you’d rather the fight be easy, you cancomplete the Origin of the Gray Prince questprior to your match. This can be started by speaking with Agronak at any timeprior to becoming the Champion.

Agronak will send you toa castle ruin named Crowhavenwith a key. Enter the ruins and delvepast wolves and ratsto reach a locked chamber.Use the keyto enter andslay the man inside–Agronak’s father, Lord Lovidicus.

Be careful, as Lord Lovidicus is a vampire! Unless you want to become a vampire yourself…

Despite his undead power, he’s greatly weakened. Hegoes down rather easilyand you can grab his journal from his desk on the second floor.Bring it to Agronakto learn a few new fighting moves and break the unfortunate news.

Knowing his true origins, the Gray Prince won’t fight youin the last match. Instead, he’llsimply stand there and allow you to kill him. He’ll even beg you to do it,regardless of how many strikes it takes.

This can count as murder, but it won’t always. Regardless, you won’t get a bounty for it.

After becoming the new Grand Champion, you canschedule weekly matches against monsterswith Ysabel for extra gold.

The Adoring Fan

Upon defeating the Gray Prince, you’llleave the Bloodworksto find an adorably cheerful elf. He pleads with you tobring him on your adventures, letting him follow you around just be in your presenceas long as he lives.

He’llgleefully accompany you and comment on your journeyas you go, and if you ever get tired of him, you cantell him to leaveor take matters into your own hands. Be wary, though, as youmay catch the attention of the Dark Brotherhood.

If youkill the Adoring Fan, or he mysteriously dies somewhere, he’llreappear in three days' timeoutside the arena.
