As with the past few quests, you can’t accept this quest immediately after finishing the prior quest. Instead, go to theImperial Cityand wait for 24 hours, and you’ll be approached by Amusei, who is enjoying a permanent role as the Gray Fox’s messenger.

He tells you to go toGanredhel’s House in Cheydinhal, near its east gate, where the Gray Fox is waiting for you.

The house is diagonally across from The Great Chapel of Arkay.

Once you arrive, speak to the Gray Fox and learn about the Boots of Springheel Jak, who was a famousThiefwho died 300 years ago.

You’ll need to figure out where he’s buried, then return to the Gray Fox with the Boots of Springheel Jak.

Where To Find The Boots Of Springheel Jak

Seek out Jakben, the Earl of Imbel, somewhere in the Imperial City, which means it’s time to ask the beggars for help again.

Head to whichever Imperial City District you prefer andtalk to one of the beggars, asking about Finding Jakben, the Earl of Imbel.

You’ll learn thatJakben has a house in the Imperial City Talos Plaza District, and only goes out after dark, categorized as a night owl by whoever tells you this information.

Head to the Talos Plaza District, where you’ll find Jakben’s mansion directly in thecentral plazawhere the Tiber Septim Hotel is.

If you run into Gemellus Axius, Jakben’s manservant, you’ll find out more about Jakben’s ‘skin condition.’

Wait until nighttime whenJakben comes out of his house around 10:00 pm for a walk, then seize the opportunity to break into his house and look for clues about the whereabouts of the Boots of Springheel Jak.

Wait for the guards to pass before you pick the lock.

Once inside, go upstairs toJakben Imbel’s Private Quartersand unlock the second section via thetrapdoor along the ceiling.

Enter this private study and break thehard lock on the desk to discover the Imbel Genealogyinside, which unfortunately doesn’t tell you the location of the boots.

However, now you’ll need to confront Jakben directly to ask him about the boots,so head outside and look around for a man in purple clothing. Sometimes you may find him by the well in the northeastern corner of the district.

Ask Jakben about Springheel Jak’s Tomb, and he’ll be terrified, handing over thekey to the Imbel Family Crypt.

Now that you have the key, head to Jakben Imbel’s Basementand unlock the average door, then unlock a second door in the basement that leads toa Wooden Door to Catacombs, which opens with the Imbel Family Crypt Key.

Inside, you’ll find Vampires to slay on your way through the small area, so be cautious.

The battles here will be challenging, sosneak to avoid confrontations until the right momentto attack the enemies guarding this area.

Continue east along the path and unlock the hard lock on the wooden door, then kill the Vampire Matriarch on the other side.

Unlock another hard lock on the next door, and you’ll reachSpringheel Jak’s Coffin.Open it, and you’ll find theDiary of Springheel Jak,but not the boots.

Read the diary in your inventory, and it will progress the quest, telling you that it was actually written by Jakben, who might have worked with the Gray Fox.

From here, turn around to face your real challenge:Jakben Imbel, now fully armored for battle, bearing down on youwith his sword.

Repel the attack anddefeat Jakben, who was a Vampirethis whole time, hence how he’s lived over 300 years.

With Jakben dispatched, loot his body toacquire the Boots Of Springheel Jak,which fortify your Acrobatics by 50 points.

It’s a good idea to enjoy some fun with the boots before returning them to the Gray Fox.

Once you’re ready, return to Cheydinhal with the boots and meet the Gray Fox back at Ganredhel’s house.

What Rewards Do You Get From The Boots Of Springheel Jak Quest?

Once you hand over the Boots of Springheel Jak, the quest will be complete, earning you500 gold.
