One of the unfiltered joys of playingThe Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remasteredis ambling off in a random direction in Cyrodiil and seeing what sorts of things you come across. Dungeons and caves, small villages, and exciting quests - they’re all worth exploring, whether for material rewards or the joyous experiences.

A Wound In Time is a wholly new experience to the Remaster - a new quest that has some fantastic, snazzy rewards. It might take a while for you to get your bearings and come across this quest, but it’s a simple one once you’ve got yourself started!

There are two ways to begin A Wound In Time:

Speaking to Ilav is what will start the quest in earnest, which directs you towards Beldaburo, an Ayleid Ruin in the western reaches of Cyrodiil.

Once you reach the front door to the ruins, you’ll be prompted toinvestigate inside.

How To Investigate Beldaburo And Complete A Wound In Time

Beldaburo is a relatively simple Ayleid ruin to explore. There’s a linear path through the ruin, featuringtwo large rooms with some side-paths to explore, but not much in the way of valuable loot.

The enemies here are undead, so prepare accordingly - but don’t worry too much, there’s nothing here that should take you unawares.

There are also somelocked doorsto bypass here, but you don’t need to do this to progress in the quest.

When you enter a long corridor after leaving the first large room in the ruins, you may hit a switch on the wall to your right to reveal anearby Varla Stone.

At the end of the path through this first level in Beldaburo you’ll find aglowing door, and approaching it will let you know that it is locked and you cannot open it right now. This will direct youall the way back to Ilav at Kvatch. Double back through the ruins and fast travel to Kvatch to meet up with Ilav again.

Talk to Ilav about the ‘Powerful magic’to learn more about the door. This will complete A Wound In Time and give you the next quest: Saving Time Itself.

Beldaburo Anga is another simple Ayleid ruin area, but this time with a few more traps to be wary of. It’s recommended that youquicksave everynow and thenso you don’t get caught unawares.

Your target here is in thesouth half of the map, but you’ll have totake the northernroute that takes you around the entire area to reach your goal. There are plenty of containers to search for loot on the way, and enemies to kill.

How To Beat Corelian

Eventually, you’ll end up faced withCorelian, an undead mage who you’ll need to kill. He’s a tough opponent, but focuses on staying away from you and attacking with a staff, so anaggressive, close-range strategy isa safe way to go.

He can alsosummon more enemies, so the sooner you’re able to whittle his health down, the better. Regardless, it’s better to focus on Corelian, as the summoned creatures will disappear upon his death, anyway.

Once the mage is defeated, you canloot his body for the Elder Scroll(which is the quest requirement), hiskey, and hisdiary, if that interests you.

There’s a pushblock to the northwest of Corelian’s lair that you can use to reach the exit quickly, or you can use his key to unlock the nearby gate and access the upper level of the first area, which contains somelootable containers.

Once you’re done in Beldaburo, leave and return to Ilav for your reward.

Quest Rewards

You canobtain this equipment from him at any point, and since their power is determined by your level, it’s worth returning to Ilav to get replacements after levelling up a fair amount to update any pieces that you like using.
