Believe it or not, there are quests inThe Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivionand its Remaster that require no combat at all. The quest for the Daedric Prince Sanguine is one example, where the only fighting you’ll do is for your modesty.

It’s also simpler than the other short Daedric artifact quests, though it can be a bit expensive. Sanguine will also throw you at least a couple of curveballs in your quest for him, so we’ll go over everything you need to know here.

Preparations For Sanguine’s Quest

You don’t need to have any specific combat setup or build to complete Sanguine’s quest. What youwillneed is at least two pieces of jewelry. You can’t enter the blocked-off quest area without them.

In practice, two rings are more than enough. Oddly, you don’t need to wear fancy clothes; we were able to get in wearing a full set of Orcish heavy armor. Persuasion is also a viable way to get past theguardat the quest door.

If you castStark Realityanddon’thit all the party guests, you’ll retain all your gear and can buy your freedom. You will, however, automatically fail Sanguine’s quest.

How To Get TheSanguine Rose

The Daedric Prince will be pleased with your work and the little prank he had at your expense. For your trouble,he’ll grant you theSanguine Rosestaff and return your gearvia the chest across from his statue.

TheSanguine Roseis a staff with ten castings before it needs to be recharged. If the projectile it produces hits a target,it will summon a powerful planar beingto attack that target.

There’s a catch: if the planar entity defeats its target, it turns on you next, only stopping if killed or its summon timer runs out. Use the Rose at your own risk.
