The Secrets of the ObscureGuild Wars 2Expansion has the Commander become a member of the Astral Ward, a group of Wizards that work to battle the unseen forces that threaten the planet from beyond the known dimension. While aiding the Astral Ward in their fight against the Kryptis, one of their senior members, a Mursaat called Mabon, fell in battle.
Luckily, Mabon’s impact on the world can still be seen through the Strength of the Unseen achievement, which will have you exploring Amnytas and other areas in Tyria to learn more about him. Here’s where to find every collectible for this achievement to get the Strength of the Unseen Greatsword and the Relic of Mabon.
Strength Of The Unseen Achievement Locations
The collectibles you need to gather for this achievement unlock as you complete the previous one’s so its best to follow these in order. The entire collection unlocks after you finish the main story mission’Mabon’s Fate'.
Location
Callon’s Mourning
From the Bastion of Strength Waypoint in Amnytas, head north then take a sharp right turn to find Callon standing before the tower.
Ithil’s Mourning
From the Bastion of Strength Waypoint in Amnytas, head north and then take a left turn. Drop down to the lower level to find Ithil near where the wall and cliff face meet.
Maer’s Mourning
From the Bastion of Strength Waypoint in Amnytas, head to the north and west, using the Updraft and your Skyscale to get into the Crystalpool. Then, jump through the windows and drop down to find Maer near the shrine.
Mabon’s Journal
In The Wizard’s Tower, head up to the floor above Isgarren’s Quarters and below the floor with the Vista to find Mabon’s Journal. Read this item from your inventory to complete this step.
A Visit to the North
From the Watchful Waypoint in Frostgorge Sound, head to the shore a short distance to the east to find Mabon’s Journal.
A New Threat Emerges
From the Ascalon Settlement Waypoint in Gendarran Fields, head north to the top of the hill to find Mabon’s Journal.
Essence of Strength
At the Bastion of Strength Waypoint in Amnytas, talk to the Faction Provisioner immediately to the south and buy the Essence of Strength for 250 Pinches of Stardust and 100 Research Notes.
In Memorium
From the Bastion of Strength Waypoint in Amnytas, head to the northwest to the Mastery Insight at the top of Mabon’s Tower. Use the Updrafts and your Skyscale to reach the top, then channel the Insight to get the final collectible.
Strength Of The Unseen Achievement Rewards
Completing the final step in this achievement will reward you with theRelic of Mabon, as well as theStrength of the Unseen Greatsword. This Greatsword, along with the other Astral Ward members' weapons, make up theHonorary Astral Ward Achievement collection. Collecting them all will reward you with theAstral Ward Cloak.
