One of the main ways you can fight inRunescape: Dragonwildsis through magic using a battlestaff. Like bows, the staff needs ammunition before you can blast those goblins. That’s why you’ll want to level up your Runecrafting so that you can make the material components for your spells.
Runecrafting is one of the skills you can level up in the game and ties well with the other skills because runes are needed to cast spells. Some of these spells need specific runes that are only unlocked through Runecrafting skill progression, so you should know how to level it up effectively.

Best Way To Level Up Runecrafting
The main ways you can get Runecrafting XP are throughmining Rune Essences and crafting runes. If you’re a long-time fan of Runescape, mining for Rune Essences shouldn’t be a problem, but if you want it to be faster, you’ll also want to craft runes. It’s best to use both methods to speed up leveling.
How To Mine Rune Essences
Rune Essences can be found all over the mapand look likeglowing holes in the ground with floating magical rocksaround them. Some of the rocks are found on the ground, while the floating ones you can shoot down with a bow or a battlestaff;all of them can be mined using a pickaxe.
Mining rune essence with a pickaxe or using the Rocksplosion spell will also give you mining XP. Make sure that the floating ones land neatly close to each other so you’re able to take them all out with one spell.
How To Craft Runes
To craft runes, you’ll need to first make a Rune Altarthrough the build menu under the crafting tab. The Rune Altar needs the following materials:
Unlike other crafting benches, the Rune Altar doesn’t need to be inside a building for it to work.
Each Rune type only needs one Rune Essence to craft ten, so you can level up fast if you mine a lot of them and just craft a bunch of runes.
How To Unlock All Runes
Unlike other skills, the Runecrafting skill doesn’t have any passive bonuses when you level up. What you do get, though,are a couple of spells as well as unlocking Runes. There aresix runes in totalin the game, and each one of them isunlocked by increasing this skill.
