You get Cooking XP from multiple sources, fromgathering ingredients and berries to cooking meals at a campfire. One of the earliest tutorial quests you’ll do is to boil some dirty water on a campfire. This is one of the best ways to level up cooking.

If you want tolevel up your cooking fast and efficiently, cook a lot of water. It’s the easiest and effortless way to level up your cooking skill without running around harvesting ingredients.

You only get the XP for cooking dishes once you pick up the dish when the campfire spawns it.

Build a bunch of campfires near a body of waterand put some fuel in them, like ash logs. Then collect a bunch of dirty water and cook it on the campfires.Each campfire can hold 50 units of dirty waterand will turn them into 25 units of clean water, and it will onlycost one ash log for the entire stack.

Cooking Skill Unlocks

Like most skills in the game, the cooking skill not only lets you unlock recipes and spells but also provides a passive bonus. Every level you get will give you anadditional one percent chance to cook delicious foodat the Cooking Range. Delicious foods are better versions of the dishwith longer buff durations.

To unlock the Cooking Range, you’ll need to first interact with a campfire as well as discover the following: Fire Runes, Ash Planks, Clay, and Bronze Bars.

How To Unlock Cooking Recipes

you may’t cook anything if you don’t have the ingredients and the recipe. To unlock recipes in the game, you’ll need topick up ingredients or interact with cooking structures. Doing so will automatically unlock recipes if it’s the first time you’ve picked an ingredient or interacted with a cooking structure.

For example, you may unlock the Meat Pizza recipe by interacting with a Cooking Range while you unlock Dried Redberries by picking up Redberries and interacting with a campfire.While most food types can just be cooked over a campfire, some can be used for dishes to give buffs.
