InZoilets you create characters and whole families and set them up in a city, living their lives, falling in love, going to work, and dealing with whatever obstacles the game or you as the player throws their way. While playing, you might want to speed things up or savour them for longer.
Fortunately, there is a way to make time pass more quickly, or more slowly if you prefer, and we don’t just mean with the options on the bottom left of the screen. Here’s what you need to know.

How To Change The Length Of A Day
While being able to slow or speed up time at the press of a button certainly helps, there is afar more effective wayto ensure your Zoi lives are going at the speed you want:by changing how long each day lasts.
Open theGame Options menuandgo to ‘Simulation’. Here you’ll find the’Length of Day’option, which has four settings to choose from:
If youwant time to pass more quickly, perhaps because you want your Zois to age more quickly, you can reduce the length of each day to 48 minutes.
Combining this with then using Very Fast forward button, and your Zois will be growing up in no time.
If you can’t bear the thought of losing your Zois and you want to cherish every minute with them bymaking time pass more slowly, increase the length of the in-game day to 24 real-world hours. This means you’ll be able to play with your Zois for longer without worrying about them moving onto the afterlife as soon.
Seasons will still only last for seven in-game days at a time, but naturally, if you make each day last longer, the seasons will technically last longer.
Youcannot stop Zois from aging or dying naturallyat the moment.
How To Use Playback Speed
Of course, the more commonly used way to affect the time is to use the playback speed controls in the time panelon the bottom left of the screen.
1x Speed
1.5x Speed
3x Speed
Very Fast
4x Speed
you may manually drag the speed control bar all the way to the right,increasing the speed to a maximum of 10x speed.
However, you cannot use movement controls or disable autonomy when playback speed is above 5x.
