Just like every other modern fighting game,Fatal Fury: City of the Wolvesdoesn’t just have recognisable series mainstays making up its roster of 17 characters - it’s also got some guests to spice things up a little.
As strange as real-world DJ Salvatore Ganacci is, that’s nothing compared to the bewildering and controversial inclusion of Al-Nassr FC captain Cristiano Ronaldo. Strangeness aside, Ronaldo has quite the interesting moveset - here’s what he’s all about.

Cristiano Ronaldo Overview
Ronaldo is one of the weirder characters on the City of the Wolves roster, but if you may get over that, you’ll find thathe’s a powerful and versatile fighter who is great at mix-ups and controlling space, especially when it comes to his projectiles. As you’d expect from a footballer,Ronaldo’s greatest strength is his projectile attacks, which let him either kick a football at the opponent or summon one that reacts to being hit for some great mix-up and trapping opportunities.
Outside of his strong projectile game, Ronaldo is a jack-of-all-trades character with high damage and combo potential, even if some of his moves have heavy start-ups.He makes up for that with some great reach and normals, which makes him aperfect fit for poking and keeping the opponent at baywhile you figure out your projectiles. Failing that, Ronaldo’s command run special allows him to get into neutral quickly, and he candeal with the enemy easily with his quick anti-air.

Overall, Ronaldo is astrong character thanks to his fast-paced and powerful projectiles, and one that’seven better when you master his powerful combos and long-ranged kicks. He may not have the most varied moveset, and he’s especially vulnerable to being crowded thanks to his moves needing to be set-up, but he’s a great fighter if you want some complicated combos or just want to fling projectiles around.
Cristiano Ronaldo Command List
Now that you’ve got a handle on what Ronaldo is all about, it’s time to get into his fairly simplistic command list.Ronaldo doesn’t have many special or command moves, and they’re all fairly easy to understand and get a grip on.Mastering and combining them is the difficult partand what will make the difference between a pro Ronaldo player and a beginner.

Cristiano Ronaldo Combos
As great as Ronaldo’s special moves and normal abilities are, he really shines when it comes to his combo potential. It’s here where you’re going to get the most out of him, so let’s walk through some of the things I’ve discovered from my time with him.
Just like with every other character in City of the Wolves, this is just a drop in the bucket for what can be done with Ronaldo, so spend some time practising with him in Training or go online and see what you’re able to do. He’s got a ton of potential, and I’m surewe’ll be seeing some wild stuff with him as the meta progresses.

Cristiano Ronaldo Tips And Tricks
Before we leave you to master Ronaldo, here are a few more tips and tricks that should make you the number one N7 online. The top thing to remember with Ronaldois that he’s one of the more unpredictable characters on the roster, with some tricky moves and projectiles that leave you guessing. Make sure totake advantage of this and keep changing up the speed and size of your projectiles.
One of Ronaldo’s most useful characteristics is thathe’s got great anti-airs with his Field Dominator and Rising C Cross specials. If you break on the Rising C Cross, you’ll get ashorter knee attack that gives you more room to follow up with combos and deal more damage. It’s one of his best anti-air choices since it leaves opponents so open.
When you’re not using Rising C Cross, verify to use Field Dominator whenever you can. By holding the heavy version of the attack down, you can cause the ball to rise in the air for longer. Use that to keep your opponent guessing at all times. The REV version of Field Dominator causes the ball to hit your opponent twice, and it’s also easier to hit with your own attack once it’s been summoned.
Speaking of summoning football projectiles, one of the key things toremember is that the football can be hit by Ronaldo after it spawns. For example,Light Punch is good for set-ups since it’s a forward attack, low Heavy Kick sends it low-down with a tackle and Heavy Punch headers it towards the enemy. These techniques are great for when the projectile doesn’t hit outright.
In my experience, I’ve found that Ronaldo’s REV Blow is one of the better ones in the game and can be hard to see coming. It does some heavy damage and has a great in-air version too.
Ronaldo’s pokes are incredibly strong thanks to his long reach, but he’s also handy when he’s got an enemy in the cornerthanks to his range of mix-ups and projectiles. Keep in mind thatsome of his combos require a bit of space since they rely on Deep-Rooted Step for hits. Deep-Rooted Step is another strong move of his since it has high-low mix-up options built into it.
