Bleach Rebirth of Soulspromotes a casual playstyle by prioritizing solid fundamentals over lengthy and complicated combos. By making itself more accessible to the community, it’s no wonder you’ll find a ton of people jumping into offline and online matches. Still, while the game’s roster is full of memorable characters, most players will be looking to main the poster boy, Ichigo Kurosaki.
As a 4-star character, Ichigo is one of the easiest Soul Reapers to learn when you’re just starting. His tools, attacks, and power-ups are fairly basic, but that doesn’t make him weak by any means. Thus, understanding him down to every button and detail can often result in comfortable wins.

Ichigo Kurosaki In Offline And Online Matches
One of Ichigo’s strongest aspects, aside from his accessibility,is his ability to close the gap. Rebirth of Souls is all about footwork and positioning, and when you try to close the gap, you’re typically putting yourself at risk. With Rush Attack, however, Ichigo essentially nullifies that risk, charging in witha Flash Attack that’s safe on block and has decent range.
This button is arguably the highlight of his kit. At best, you’re able to secure a full Quick Attack or Flash Attack combothat ends with Charge Slash or All-Out Slash. At worst, your attack gets blocked, butthe opponent can’t punish you in response, so it’s a win-win scenario.

Another ability you should rely on is Wielding, which isbasically Ichigo’s “get out of jail” option. When the opponent has you in a blockstring, you can use this move’s invincibility frames tocatch them off-guard and deal massive damage on top.
You should always reserve Ichigo’s Reverse Gauge for Reverse Action. This lets you recover your Reishi Gauge, enhance your attacks, and, most importantly, remove an extra Konpaku with a Kikon Move.

You’re No Good At All!

Can You Keep Up?
Take a stance, then rush in for a slash. Combos into a combo so fast it’s invisible to the naked eye on hit.
Rapid Slash
Charge up to unleash a rising slash. Showers your foe in countless instantaneous slashes on hit. You’re invincible during the startup, letting you trigger this move to fend off attacks.

Awakened Ichigo Kurosaki In Offline And Online Matches
Like almost every character in Rebirth of Souls, Ichigo getsnew moves and animation after Awakening, but his buttons remain the same. The core features are still there— Forward Slash is safe on block, and Rapid Slash’s i-frames allow you to escape pressure.
Your Signature Move, on the other hand, has seen a noticeable buff. Compared to Charge Slash, Rush Slash hasa much higher horizontal range with exceptionally quick active frames, so it’s a great choice for dashing in. Beyond that, there’s a lot more emphasis onconsistently activating your Reverse Action, which is where you also get the mask.
The modified Getsugatensho with projectile-canceling properties is adeath sentence for zoning characters like Uryu Ishida. Also, using the Kikon Move with your Reverse Action meansyou’ll kill an opponent with just 2 Kikon Moves(if you previously used a Kikon Move with “Lend Me Your Strength.")
You can activate Sublimation by raising your Fighting Spirit Gauge via inflicting and receiving damage. Once active, it stays until the end of the match.
