Fatal Fury: City of the Wolveshas brand new characters, new systems and mechanics to learn, and even guest characters for the first time in series history, making it a peculiar entry after a long 26-year hiatus. Fortunately, even with all the new shiny things, it still feels and plays like a Fatal Fury game, which is all we could have hoped for.
Speaking of new characters, Preecha is a brand new original character made for the Fatal Fury series, and is a badass rushdown fighter with a background in Muay Thai, allowing her to deliver devastating and precise strikes on her opponent in the blink of an eye. She’s an incredible addition to the cast and is remarkably fun to play!
Preecha Overview
Preechais the new kid on the block in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and is asolid rushdown fighterwithunique actions that can help her open the opposition up,ultimatelyculminating with a vicious combofor considerable amounts of damage. Despite herintense speed and high-damaging combos,Preecha isn’t overly complex, despite her move list looking a bit intimidating to newcomers.
If you’re a newcomerto the seriesand haveexperience in other fighting games,Preecha shouldn’t be too complicatedto pick up and learn. However,if this is your first step into the genre as a whole, she may be a bit harderthan a Terry Bogard or Rock Howard.Rushdown characters thrive on being aggressive,so if you love getting in your opponent’s face and pressing buttons, she’s perfect for that.
She is alsoone of the few characters in the game who doesn’t have a strong projectile,meaning shecan struggle to control the space and tempoof the fight andcan have a hard time against characters with solid projectiles,such as Hotaru and Terry. Nonetheless,she is still extremely strong, but must remain aggressive,as she has to fight tooth and nail to get in on her opponent and open them up!
