How Pathojen’s Abilities Work
Pathojen is one of the only healers available in FragPunk, meaning she’ll often be a key pick when it comes to determining your team composition.
Emotional Rescue
Healing
Place a healing fieldon the ground, restoring health to yourself and nearby allies.
Shroom Wall
Defensive
Place a destructible wall, which can be freestanding, or can fill a door or entryway.
Chemical Romance
Passive
Pathojen is immune to poison damage, making her sturdier than most in combat.
Ultimately, the most important thing Pathojen offers is healing. Don’t waste this ability;ensure you’re using Emotional Rescue at least once a round.
How To Play Pathojen
Because her abilities are mainly support-based, you’re going to want toplay Pathojen more defensively, generally speaking.
That doesn’t mean she’s a pushover by any means, but you’re going to want toprioritize the below actions above all else.
Keep in mind,Pathojen’s walls can easily be destroyed.
This can still help as anyone shooting at the wall will immediately reveal their location to the team, but they’re not indestructible.

Placing fungus traps around corners will create spacebetween you and the enemy team, allowing your team to progress forward.
You can alsothrow the trap forward directly at enemies, using it as a ranged weapon.
Use Walls For Added Cover
Corners can be hard to navigate around in FragPunk.
Building freestanding walls around them canhelp your team get a more advantageous anglefor taking out enemies.
Healing While Converting
Pathojen can either heal herself or an allywhile they’re placing the converter.
Simplyplace your Emotional Rescue at their feet, allowing them to regain healthwhile planting the converter.
How To Play Hollowpoint On Defense
Pathojen is also useful during defense rounds, and probably a better pick overall for defense than offense.
Creating Chokes
Thanks to her traps and walls,Pathojen is great for creating new choke pointsthe enemy will have to navigate through.
Check your mini-map as you set up your defenses, selecting the best doorways to block off so you’re able to set up chokes to defend.
Forcing Engagement
Thanks to her walls and healing abilities,you can force engagement out of attackers.
The enemy team will know thatyou can retreat behind wallsand heal up your team, meaning if they want a chance at converting,they enemy team will have to play more aggressively.
Keep in mind thatplacing walls will likely alert the enemy to your presence, so if you’re trying to play more stealthy, it might be best to avoid placing walls right away.
