While a number of these characters will join throughout the course of the story, others have specific requirements, and others are devilishly well hidden.
This guide will show you where to find every character while also providing you with the requirements for acquiring these troops. Chandler
Sequential Recruitment Guide
This section will walk you through how to acquireevery last characterin the game. We’ve listed each recruit in the order you’ll be able to acquire them in the game. You should be able tofollow this guide top-down and acquire every Star of Destiny.
During your first mission
Gregminster
After Ted is taken
Viktor will join as part of the story after returning from Rockland.
After defeating Neclord, Viktor will leave momentarily. Once you free him from a cell in Moravia, he’ll rejoin.
After the death of Odessa
When acquiring a ship to Toran Lake Castle
Kaku
Tai Ho joins after you beat him at Chinchirorin in the basement of the Kaku tavern.
Fortress Of Kwaba
After claiming the Toran Lake Castle
Speak to Chandler at the Fortress of Kwaba.He’ll provide your castle with anitem shop.
Great Forest Village
Speak to Maas in the Great Forest Village blacksmith shop.He’ll provide your castle with a blacksmith shop.
Seika
Speak to Marie in the Seika Inn.She’ll provide your castle with aninn.
Speak to Onil in her house at Seika. It is the building northeast of the Rune Shop.
Speak to Sansuke in his house at Great Forest Village.He’ll provide your castle with a bathhouse.
Speak to Sergei in the Kaku tavern.He’ll provide your castle with anelevator.
Every time you return to your castle, speak to Marie. Once she mentions needing help with cooking, speak to Antonio in the inn at Seika.
Lepant’s Mansion
After breaking into Lepant’s Mansion
Speak to Rock in Lepant’s mansion. Allow him to join.He’ll provide your castle with avault.
Recruit Lepant
Pahn joins after recruiting Lepant.
It is possible to permanently lose Pahn during the battle with General Teo.Follow this guide to avoid this fate.
Level Two Castle
Speak to Gaspar in the basement of the Kaku tavern. Win 5000 Potch from him and he’ll join you.He’ll provide your castle with the Chinchiron mini game.
Speak to Sheena inside the Inn at Seika with Lepant in your party.
Toran Lake Castle
After Recruiting Lepant
Kirkis will appear at your castle during the story. He’ll join after you agree to help him fight Kwanda Rosman.
Great Forest
After Kirkis Joins
You’ll encounter Viki in the Great Forest on your way to the Elf Village.She’ll provide your castle with the teleport function.
Elf Village
After speaking to the Elf VIllage Chief
Valeria joins after you speak to the chief of the Village of the Elves.
Village of the Dwarves
You have to have already recruited Maas
Village of the Elves
After the Village of the Elves burns down
Return to the Village of the Elves after it is destroyed. You’ll find Templeton hanging around the ruins.
Pannu Yakuta
After Defeating Kwanda Rosman
After defeating Kwanda, choose the “Something’s wrong here” dialog option. Then choose the “I want you to join us” option.
Kobold Village
Pay Fu Su Lu’s 10,000 Potch tab in the Kobold Village inn.
Speak to Rubi at the Kobold Village inn with Kirkis in your party. Kirkis must be level 35 in order to pursuade Rubi to join you.
Speak to Gon in the Kobold Village with Kuromimi in your party.
Speak to Apple in Seika and tell her that Mathiu wanted to help you.
After speaking To Flik In Toran Castle
Speak to Flik in Kaku after he leaves the Toran Lake Castle.
Antei
After the Battle at Scarleticia Castle
Speak to Chapman in the Armor Shop at Antei.He’ll provide your castle with an armor shop.
Teien
Speak to Eikei at Teien with Tir at Level 40 and a level two castle.
Rikon
Speak to Jabba in the Rikon Appraisal Shop with a Nameless Urn in your inventory. You’ll acquire a Nameless Urn from the enemies near Antei.
Speak to her in the Rune Shop at Antei. As long as your castle is level three she’ll join you.She’ll provide your castle with a rune shop.
Speak to Lotte in the Inn at Rikon and she’ll ask you to find her cat. The cat is in Kaku wandering the inn. Return to Lotte with her cat and she’ll join you.
Speak to Mina in the Inn at Antei. Agree to dance with her. You’ll need to be wearing Toe Shoes. you may buy them at the Antei armor shop.
Pirate’s Hideout
Speak to Anji at the Pirate’s Hideout with Tai Ho and Yam Koo in your party. Fight them and beat them within five rounds.
After encountering a whirlpool on the way to Liukan’s Hermitage
Speak to Gen in Teien after you encounter the rapids blocking you from getting to Liukan’s Hermitage. After Gen recruits Kamandol, both of them will upgrade your ship and join you.
After Liukan has been imprisoned
Kimberley joins after you persuade her to help you enter Soniere Prison.
Tesla joins after you persuade him to help you enter Soniere Prison.
Speak to Esmeralda in the Antei inn while having an Opal. Opals are dropped by enemies in Soniere Prison.
Scarleticia
After Defeating Milich Oppenheimer
After defeating him, choose the “This man is innocent” and “Very well.” dialogue choices.
Speak to Kasios at Scarleticia Castle with Milich in your party.
Before the battle with Teo McDohl
Kirov
After the battle with Teo McDohl
Speak to Georges at the Kirov inn and beat one of the standing records.
Talk to the woman washing clothing, she’ll ask you for soap. Then, talk to the man walking around just a little north of Sarah, he’ll request Soy Sauce. Next, speak to the man west of the guy who wants Soy Sauce, he’ll request Salt. Now, talk to the villager in the southeast corner of Kirov, she’ll request a yardstick. Now, head to the inn and talk to the guy standing between two beds: he wants sugar. Finally, buy sugar from the item shop and work backward swapping each item until you have soap for Sarah.
Taste both stews in the houses north of Sarah in Kirov, enter the houses to the left and right of Sarah and taste the stew on the stove. Now, enter the southmost building and you’ll see Lester. Talk to him and he’ll join you.
Speak to Blackman at Kalekka without stepping on his plants.
Don’t step on his plants. If you do, leave to the world map, then reenter.
Speak to Melodye at Kirov with the Sound Orb in your inventory.
You’ll find the Sound Orb in one of the houses in Kalekka

Fort Lorimar
After breaking into Fort Lorimar
Speak to Kirke inside Fort Lorimar after passing through it the first time.
Warrior’s Village
Speak to Moose in the Warriors' Village blacksmith shop with Maas, Meese, and Mose in your party.
Qlon Temple
Give Zen the Red (purchased in Warriors' Village), Blue (purchased in Rikon), and Yellow (purchased in Teien) Flower Seeds.
Garan Fortress
Speak to him at the Garan Fortress. You must have recruited 80 characters.
After being defeated by Neclord
Give Hugo the War Scroll you found in the Qlon Temple Cavern.
Speak to Window in the Warrior’s Village and give him the Window Orb.you’re able to follow this guide to locate the Window Orb.
After entering into the Dragon Knights' Fortress

Speak to Kruetz in the Dragon Knights' Fortress with Humphrey in your party.
After curing the dragons
Taggart joins once you return to your castle after having cured the dragons.
Seek Valley
Speak to Mace in the Seek Valley with Maas, Meese, Moose, and Mose in your active party.
Northern Checkpoint
After winning the Taking The Northern Checkpoint battle
Griffith joins after defeating him in the Taking The Northern Checkpointbattle.
Kasim joins after saving Warren and Viktor from Moravia Castle.
Moravia Castle
After rescuing Viktor from Moravia Castle
After saving Warren and Viktor, speak to him on the top floor of Moravia Castle.
Talk to Maximillian and Sancho at the Northern Checkpoint once you’ve rescued Viktor from Moravia.
After defeating Sonya in Shasarazade
After you defeat Sonya in Shasarazade, speak to her in the cell in the basement of your castle. Choose the dialog options “I want you to join us” and “It doesn’t matter.”
