You’re inevitably going to need to repair your gear inOblivion Remastered. It’s not a question of if, but when. Armor and weapons usage lowers your equipment’s durability level, and at zero, it can no longer be used. Whether you’re fixing it afterward or performing routine touch-ups, Oblivion’s repair process will prove to be a necessity in your travels.
Here’s how to repair your armor, weapons, and more in Bethesda’s recent Elder Scrolls remaster. There’s a bit more you’ll need to know if it’s enchanted gear you’re looking to polish back to its original shine, so we’ll talk about that as well.

How To Repair Weapons And Armor In Oblivion Remastered
In Oblivion Remastered, you have two broad choices when it comes torepairing equipment. You can eitheruse Repair Hammers to perform the task yourself, or you canpay certain merchants to do it for you.
The former certainly sounds more appealing, but there’s good reason to cough up some cash instead sometimes -Repair Hammers can break, andthe lower your Armorer skill happens to be, the more likely you’ll have that happen.

Repairing Gear Yourself
Generally speaking,we do recommend that you work on your Armorer skillover time. Your end goal should be to handle all repairs on your own; you’ll save plenty of gold in the long run.
To do this, you must have at least one Repair Hammer in your inventory.Select the Repair Hammer- assigning these to your shortcuts bar isn’t a terrible idea - and thenselect the weapon, armor, or accessory which you intend to repair.
Every piece of equipment has a number designating its current state of durability. Getting stuff to 100 isn’t necessary, but obviously, the higher the number, the longer it will be until it breaks.
If your Armorer skill is low, consider aiming for a slightly lower number, so as to reduce the times you’ll be using the Repair Hammer, and thus, the chances for it to shatter.
You canfind Repair Hammers in chests, on bodies(either by stealing from the living or pilfering the dead), andfor sale in stores. Try to keep a few on-hand at all times.
Having Someone Else Do The Job
Higher-quality gear will be tougher to repair at lower Armorer levels, and it’ll take more swings of the Repair Hammer, too. In many cases earlier on in the game, you’ll want someone else to repair your equipment.

How To Repair Enchanted Items
Until you reachArmorer Level 25, which establishes you at theApprenticelevel for the skill, you will be unable to repair any equipment with enchantments attached to it.
Up until this point, your Repair Hammers will not achieve a thing, and so,enchanted items will require the services of blacksmithsbefore you’ve reached Armorer Level 25.
We recommendrepairing your equipment as often as you can spare a couple of Repair Hammers. Oblivion Remastered’s durability system feels far less punishing when you have the power at your disposal to handle things yourself!
