One of the most intimidating aspects ofMandragorais its massive passive tree. Similar to games like Path of Exile, the main talent tree is broken up into hundreds of nodes that span across six classes. Creating a build can feel daunting, especially if you decide to change gears later in your playthrough.

The good news is that you can respec your character with minimal hassle, but you’ll need to unlock this privilege first. Today, we’ll be going over how to respec your character in Mandragora, which quest unlocks access to respeccing, and answer some common questions on what can and cannot be respecced.

How To Reset Your Talent Tree

You’ll be able to reset your talent tree uponcompleting the “Witch Hunt” quest, a main story quest that you cannot skip. Completing this quest will take several hours, so you won’t be able to respec your character right away. If you make a mistake, you’ll need to stick with it until you defeat The Necromancer.

Once you’ve finished the quest, return to the Witch Tree and interact with the Altar of Power. It will be a short distance left of the fast travel point. Interact with the altar and tab to the “Retalent” section to reset your tree. Doing so is free the first time, but subsequent resets will cost an escalating amount of Essence.

Committing to a reset willrefund all spent talent points, allowing you to reinvest them in any way you deem fit. Any tri-point nodes you’ve invested in previously will also be fully refunded. If you earned any talent points through hidden shrines, those will be refunded as well.

Can You Change Your Class In Mandragora?

No, you cannot change your initial class in Mandragora.Resetting your talent tree will keep your starting position. With that said, it is possible to reach the talent trees of other classes by pathing to the left or right-most nodes on your tree. This is the closest method to multiclassing in Mandragora.

Can You Respec Skill Upgrades?

From what we can tell,no, you cannot respec skill upgrades.Later in your playthrough, you’ll gain the ability to upgrade your skills with a unique currency called Entropic Essence. There isn’t a way to reset your skills to receive any spent Entropic Essence, so be careful when choosing upgrades.
