One thing we can all agree on about life is that it’s unpredictable, and a digital life inInZoiis no different. You never really know what each new day will bring, and it’s certainly not all good fortune. Accidents can happen in InZoi, including fires.

Fires can cause widespread damage throughout your home, and could potentially kill your Zoi if you’re not careful, so you don’t want to let them run wild. Or alternatively, you might want to set a fire on purpose, whatever your reason for looking up fires, we’ve got you covered.

InZoi is currently in early access so the content will change with time. We’ll update this guide as we have more information.

How Do Fires Start?

Zoisusing any electronicshas a chance of starting a fire. Though fires begin in one small area of the affected electronics, they will quickly spread to other furniture items, including items you wouldn’t think could catch fire, including… fire extinguishers.

Krafton has mentioned Zois being able to “set a fire”, though at present it doesn’t appear this is an option yet.

Furniture destroyed by a fire cannot be used anymoreand must be replaced, which can cost you quite a lot if the fire manages to spread quite far.

How To Extinguish Fires

You can click on a fire and opt tohave your Zoi attempt to put it out, but it comes at the risk of your Zoi possiblysuccumbing to the flames and dying as a result. If thefire is small, it’s definitely worth tackling yourself, but if it’s large, then it would be safer to have your Zois evacuate andcall the fire departmentinstead.

If you select your Zoi, you’ll have several emergency options:

Report Fire

Your Zoi calls the fire department who will arrive fairly quickly, unless they are all currently busy on other jobs.

Put Out Fire

Have your Zoi attempt to extinguish the fire themselves.

It’s worth noting that during my playthrough, the firefighters wouldn’t actually fight the fire and instead hung around outside my home, despite trying numerous times.

It might just be a glitch for this save, but I tried greeting them first (as you need to with cleaners), setting my front door to ‘Unlocked’ so anyone can enter, and calling more firefighters.

It could be because there was no nearby Fire Hydrant for them to use, and maybe they don’t like extinguishers.

How To Protect Against Fire

If you want to ensure a fire doesn’t wreck the homes of your Zois, there are a few things you can do.

Buy Alarms And Extinguishers

Purchasing fire alarms is recommended. There are a few options available in Build Mode.

It’s worth noting that these don’t appear to automatically call the fire department, but instead will set off an alarm and flash red lights so that both you as the player and your Zois are alerted to the presence of the fire.

You can also buy a Fire Extinguisher or Fire Hydrant to add to your property, to ensure your Zois are well-equipped to deal with fires before they get out of hand.

Lower The City’s Fire Prevention Rate

Head into theManage City option from your Smartphone. You want tolower the slider all the way down, which increases the chance of electricals catching fire when used.

Cram Your Home With Electronics

Next, you cancram your home with electronics(we found that wall-mounted TVs seemed to do the trick) and switch them all on. Before long, you’ll have a raging inferno and a hefty damage bill.
