Once you hit level 70 in any skill inThe Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, whether by practicing, training, or reading skill books, basic and advanced trainers will no longer be able to help you. From that point on, only the master trainer for that particular skill can continue to provide training.
However, unlocking master training isn’t as simple as asking - they always require you to complete a quest to prove your worth. These Master Trainers are no joke. Their quests are typically designed to test the very skill you want to improve, so for each skill, there’s a unique challenge that you’ll need to conquer in order to earn their expertise.
How To Start The Sneak Training Quest
One of the available master training quests isthe Sneak quest, but just like all the other master training quests, you need tohave at least 70 in Sneak to trigger this quest.
Once you meet this requirement, make your way toOthrelos in the Elven Gardens Districtof the Imperial City and speak to him. Select the ‘Training’ dialogue option, and it will trigger the Sneak Training quest to begin.
For this quest, you need to findthe Sneak master, Marana Rian, who resides in theTemple District of the Imperial City.After you speak to her, she will ask you for a test of your skills, and for this one, you need tosteal a coin from her pocket.
How To Steal The Coin From Marana Rian
you’re able to get creative with this process, but the goal is the same:you simply need to pickpocket the coin from Marana Rian. However, this is a crime, so if you get caught, it might not go well for you.
Before you do that, make sure Marana Rian’s disposition is high to make the stealing process easier.
With a 70 in Sneak, you should be able to do this without much trouble, but what we recommend iswaiting until night and using an Invisibility spell to be extra cautious.
After that, follow Marana Rian to a place where no guards can see you -usually an alley- and then approach her from behind to pickpocket. verify totake Marana Rian’s coin.
How To Complete The Sneak Training Quest
After you successfully steal the coin,speak to Marana Rian and choose the training dialogue.Inform her that the coin has been stolen, and she will agree to train you.
This will complete the Sneak Training quest, and she will be able to improve your Sneak level even further. However, there is a catch.
If you approach her during the day, the Train option will not be available.This is because she only trains during the night, so if you’re worried about finding her again, she only hangs outat her houseoraround the Temple District.
