There are a lot of missions for you to partake in acrossXenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition. From the smallest of quibbles to the fate of an entire species. Each and every mission is to someone’s benefit, and it is for the good of NLA as a whole to foster this sense of community in all the races that dwell there.
And the Trade Agreement mission is a great showcase of that. It will have you traveling across the length and breadth of NLA in search of rare trading cards which are all the rage among all of NLA’s citizenry, human or otherwise. So let’s get out there and engage in some fervent trading card shenanigans.
How To Start The Trade Agreement Mission
Before you can even think about beginning the Trade Agreement mission, you will need to have completed quite a few missions, and that’s because just aboutevery alien race in the game takes part. Nothing fosters community like a predatory card game.
On top of needing to havecompleted Chapter Seven, here are each of the quests you need to have completed as well.
With each of these completed, you are free to start the Trade Agreement mission. To do so, you must speak with Warawa at East Melville Street on the east end of the Commercial District. She is desperately seeking the Gold Nopopotamus Card, and has almost gone bankrupt and has been flooded with Bronze Blatta Cards instead.
So,Warawa gives you just one of her Bronze Blatta Cardsand requests you you do your greatest to turn that into a Gold Nopopotamus. The Ganglion are no challenge compared to trading card games. So let’s get started.
Every Trading Partner
Unlike many other missions in the game, Trade Agreement only have one ending, buthas many different ways to achieve it.There is never a point in the mission where you may get stuck. Every card will always lead to another, which in turn will ultimately lead to the gold Nopopotamus.

Some NPCs will accept two different cards, letting you link in no matter what route you follow.

In the Sports Complex directly across from Wilbur.
In total, there are12 different people you can trade with, though the final two trades willalways involve both Wilbur and Ton’barac. If you’re ever not sure which NPC to trade with next, just check your card against the table above.
Ideal Route To Get The Gold Nopopotamus Card
Ideally, you will want to spend as little time trading as possible. Remember that though you can never get stuck, you can get locked into longer trade routes that you have to. Here is the fastest method there is toturn the Bronze Blatta Card into a Gold Nopopotamus in just five trades.
While there are many more routes to eventually get the Gold Nopopotamus Card, any other method would result in extra trades. And with how big NLA is and the fact that the tradeable NPCs give no indication you may actually trade with them, it’s best tocut as much time as possibleout of the journey.
Return to Warawa with her beloved Gold Nopopotamus Card and she will regales you with her dreams of the card, which are a tad too elaborate. After she has finished fantasizing, she will offer you a suitable reward. This includes20,000 Credits, 240 EXPand the holofigures ofClash of the Cute, Thwipper Series, Upgraded Diving Bottoms, and Upgraded Diving Mask.
