You’ll be unlocking crafting materials straight from the beginning ofThe First Berserker: Khazan. However, it takes a while before you’ll be able to actually make use of those materials, and you will need to jump through a few hoops.

How To Unlock Crafting
There are two steps that you’ll need to follow in order to unlock the ability to craft. Firstly, you’ll need tobeat Aratra, who is the fifth bossyou’ll encounter in the game. Once you do that, Qazumaka the blacksmith will show up at the Crevice. Once you speak to him, he’ll tell you that he needs his hammer, which will thenunlock the Blacksmith’s Heirloom side mission. Complete that mission and you’ll acquire the hammer he needs. Once you have that in your possession, go speak to the blacksmith.
Where To Find Armor Set Scrolls
You will now be able to craft weapons and armor. However, if you want to craftspecificweapons or pieces of armor, you’ll need to acquire the armor set blueprints first. These can be found all over the game.Most of them are hidden around different stages, but you’ll acquire some of them by completing certain objectives.
As an example, in the Forgotten Temple stage, you will acquire theHunter’s Scroll by defeating the ‘epic’ miniboss. In Phraugh Village, you’ll find The Ashen Wolf Scroll sitting on the ground at the bottom of the hill where the boulder rolls down, and you’ll get the Forgotten Warrior’s Scroll by killing the Lunatic Destroyer after having performed 30 perfect guards.
Where To Get Rare Materials
While you will be able to acquire most materials by simply breaking down unwanted pieces of equipment. However, there are certain armor sets that will require a specific ingredient. You’ll get these ingredients byrepeatedly beating specific bosses. It is a little Monster Hunter-esque.
How To Augment Equipment
While this isn’ttechnicallypart of the crafting system, it is directly related to it. Once you complete the Kaleido side mission, a mission you’ll be able to take after you kill Aratra, Oksana will be able to augment your equipment.Augmenting will allow you to increase the level of your equipment by sacrificing other pieces of equipment of the same typethat have a higher level. This is agreatuse for the gear you pick up that doesn’t offer set bonuses.
