When facing off against boss enemies or the samurai who occupy the castles inAssassin’s Creed Shadows, there’s a chance you’ll take a lot of damage. You can then use Rations to heal at the press of a button. However, they don’t heal enough of your health later in the game.

Therefore, you’ll want to upgrade your rations as soon as you may. There are a couple of ways to do that, with a trophy or achievement being unlocked when you fully upgrade them. You have to do more than unlock a few skills, though.

How To Upgrade Rations

The first way to upgrade your rations is tounlock two new buildings in the Hideout. You need tobuild the Zashiki first. To do so, you need to complete the Iron Hand Guild set of side quests from Imai Sokun in Settsu. Then, you need to work your way through the People of Yamashiro quests toget the Tea Roomfrom Sen no Rikyu. Then, build the addiitons in your Hideout.

Both Hideout buildings increase the efficiency of your rations by 20 percent.

Then, the other thing you need to do iscomplete the Feast For Thought quest. you’re able to make a start on it before the quest begins, but it’ll officially start when you speak to a Food Vendors in the south east of Taksuki.

There are16 Food Vendors scattered across the map. You need tospeak to each of them and take a soup quest item from them. Once you have all 16, you’ll have increased the number of rations you may carry to the maximum. All of the vendors will be marked on the map, so you don’t need to go hunting for them. Use the legend on the map to show you where they are.

Suture Self Trophy/Achievement

Youunlock the Suture Self trophy or achievement once you’ve fully upgraded your rations. Therefore, you need to find all 16 Food Vendors and take the quest items from them, as well as build both the Zashiki and Tea Room at your Hideout.

You can do it in any order, but the trophy or achievement will pop once you’ve done everything. It’ll also help you massively to have the more useful rations in the challenging sections towards the end of the game.
