Finding the Basement inBlue Princeis essential to furthering your journey to room 46, but it may not be immediately apparent how to access it or what to do from there.
This guide will tell you what you have to do to not only access the Basement, but unlock the door there and get more information that will help you in later runs.
How To Get To The Basement
The Basement is part of the Underground of Mt. Holly, and isonly accessible from the Foundationin the middle of the manor. When you go to the Foundation, you’ll see an elevator, but it won’t be accessible immediately.
To make it accessible, you must draft a room on the right of the Foundation. This cannot be any room – itmust have a door bordering the right wall. When you enter the drafted room, the door will be replaced with a contraption that will lower the elevator so it’s accessible.
When you trigger it, you will see a cutscene of the lift lowering inside the Foundation. You will then be able to ride it to the Basement.
How To Unlock The Basement Door
However, once you get there, you will find that you need a special Basement Key to unlock the Basement door. You willonly get this key in the Antechamberat the northmost point of the manor.
You can use the same key to unlock the Well door beneath the Fountain, which will lead you to a different Underground area.
Getting into the Basement and completing its puzzle will give you information about how to access the levers that open each Antechamber door.
