Season 3 ofCall of Duty: Black Ops 6is here, and as expected, the new zombies map has arrived as well. This time, the crew finds themselves in a mysterious mansion filled with danger and, of course, plenty of secrets to uncover as they continue their quest for the Sentinel Artifact.

Like previous maps, Shattered Veil comes with its own hidden Easter eggs and secrets, along with exclusive wonder weapons to obtain. Among them is the Ray Gun Mark 2, which now has an upgrade that alters its shooting method. This guide will walk you through how to unlock the Ray Gun Mark 2-R upgrade and all the details you need to know.

Obtain The Ray Gun Mark 2 And An Empty Canister

Much like the other two upgrades of the Ray Gun Mark 2,you will need to get your hands on the weapon itselfand thenan empty canister.

There are three canistersthat you can obtain on Shattered Veil, and any one of them will work with any upgrade.

How To Get The Plant Seed

As usual, there are additional items that you need to get to fill the canister with the proper essence. This time around,you need to get your hands on four Plant Seeds.

These plant seeds can be obtainedfrom the small red round plantsthat you’ve seen in the Tomb before. However, shooting them randomly will not drop the seed.

Instead, you need touse the Ray Gun Mark 2NOT UPGRADED, aweapon with the Napalm Burst ammo mod, or aSemtex or Molotov.

You will know you’re doing it right when you hear a sound cue, like screams, coming out of the plants.

These plants can be found in various locations, butonly in the outdoor POIs of the map, not inside the mansion. Some of these locations are:

There are more locations, of course, but these are the ones we got in our match, andit is random in every match.

How To Get The Toxic Canister

After you manage to collect four seeds,make your way to the conservatory,which is the area around the Quick Revive machine. Inside, you will be able to finda canister machine. Place the empty canister there to start the process.

What you need to do is plant one of these seeds in the yellow plant incubator separatelyandprotect them from the zombies until they grow.

You need to do one at a time, not all at once.

If you somehow fail one of them, don’t worry, as you’re able to always take the seed and plant it back.

After all the seeds have grown,go back to the canister machine, and you will be able to pick upthe Toxic Canister.

With this at hand,head back to the spawn area, and you will finda workbench to the left side.Place the canister there, and the workbench will be functioning, allowing you toupgrade the Ray Gun Mark 2 to its R variant, themarksman rifle version.
