A Relic is not just a valuable trinket you can sell to the first shady merchant you find in a big town. They can tell a lot about the past, and that’s why the Research Team considers them so important during their mission on the Aladiss Continent.AtelierYumia: The Alchemist Of Memories & The Envisioned Landmakes sure to give them the proper importance.

Those ancient artifacts are one of your main goals during exploration, and can often be found in different forms as you progress through the regions. And if you ever need extras, finding more of them won’t be hard either.

How To Find Relics

Relics can befound in any of the game’s named Ruins. Ruins have an icon accompanied by a white checkmark on the map. The checkmark is cleared (turning pink) once you find all treasure chests in it.Finding the Relics isn’t needed to get the checkmark, but they are always guaranteed to appear inside these Ruins.

They are represented by a pile of debris on the ground, butyou can only pick them up after performing a Long-Range with Flammiinside the Ruins after finding the correct device. This will reveal all chests inside the area, as well as mark each collectible Relic with an ‘!’ icon on the map.

Each region has two different types of Relics, which can spawn randomly in their Ruins. Both types can appear in the same Ruins. The further you explore Aladiss, the more valuable the Relics you may find are.Certain skills will also increase their Rarity, just like with all other collectibles and ingredients.

After collecting all Relics inside a Ruin, they respawn after a few in-game days have passed. Return to the same Ruins later and perform another Full Scan to locate them again.

Where To Use Relics

Relics can be used for Synthesis recipes, just like most other materials you find around the map. They usuallyhave better quality than most other items you can find regularly(especially when you have no significant upgrades from the Skill Tree), and are great for using in important Recipes.

They can also beused for certain non-story Quests.Whenever you visit a new region, there’s always the same NPC offering you theRelic Collector quest series, which asks for one of the region’s exclusive Relics. There are four instances of this quest, and they must be completed in order for some small rewards, and it appears after Pioneering the region to a certain portion.

Another practical usage for Relics iscollecting them for Pioneering Effort tasks. Every region asks for at least one Relic after you reach a certain point, so you’ll need to find them if you’re aiming for the full completion. Since you’ll need to explore a lot of Ruins on your way, this is easily completed.

Relics can also beused for merchant deals after completing enough Pioneering Effort in a region.Due to their rarity and usually higher-than-average quality, they’re usually worth a lot for the Exchange Rate. However, not all trades will accept Relics.
