Summary
InZoiis in serious danger of its stellar start going to waste. The “Sims Killer” quickly sold a million copies and achieved a peak player count of over 87,000. However, that number quickly began to drop.
Its average player countfell by 83 percent in the first two weeks, faster than any other live service game, and last week, we reported that the game hadreached a low point that The Sims 4 hadn’t in over four years.

The game’s rapid decline has shown no signs of slowing down either, with InZoi’s player numbers now coming close to those ofThe Sims 3, a 16-year-old game.
InZoi’s Player Count Hits New Lows Only A Month After Launching
On April 24, across the whole day InZoi averaged 3,751 players, according to data fromSteamDB. This is almost 50 percent lower than when we reported on the game’s lows last week, with the game averaging 6,647 players on April 15.
The Sims 3, on April 24, averaged 1,120 players, meaning now, there is roughly only 2,500 more people playing InZoi than The Sims' third entry. Given that it sold millions of copies, this is a tiny amount.

At its peak, InZoi averaged 64,641 players, roughly 58 times as many players than The Sims 3. Now, it only has three times more players, a concerning sign. The game is now also at its lowest point in the Steam sales charts.

TheGamer has reached out to Krafton to see if they have any concerns about InZoi’s waning player numbers.
Of course, InZoi does have plenty of time to turn things around. The Simshas a far higher install base than the new life simulator, and InZoi is still in early access, so its fortunes should change in the future—something which its fans truly believe— but you have to imagine, such a sharp drop has come as a surprise to the game’s development team.
