Summary
InZoistarted full of promise. Its stunning visuals, customization options, and commitment to giving players engaging activities to partake in meant the game was dubbed “The Sims Killer”.
That promise quickly faded, though, withthe game losing 85 percent of its player base in under two weeks. Things have now gone from bad to worse for Krafton, as the game has hit lows that The Sims 4 hasn’t seen in four years.

InZoi’s Player Numbers Continue To Tumble
InZoi only launched into early access on March 28, but its decline has been sharp.
Things initially looked good, with the game selling over a million copies and peaking at over 87,000 concurrent players. That all swiftly changed, though; now it’s breaking unwanted records.

According toSteamDB, Yesterday, on April 15, InZoi peaked at only 8,477 players. The last time The Sims 4 dropped this low was backin November 2021, when it had a maximum of 8,475 players playing the game.
By diving deeper into the data, we can see that InZoi is struggling even more. On April 15, the game had an average of 6,647 players playing at any given time. Since records began, The Sims 4 has never, ever dropped this low.

On April 15, the game had an average of 6,647 players playing at any given time. Since records began, The Sims 4 has never, ever dropped this low.
It’s worth noting that SteamDB didn’t start tracking average player data until October 2022 for The Sims 4, but its lowest average player count on record is 9553, almost 50 percent more than InZoi’s low numbers.

The numbers are likely to be a concern for Krafton, given the amount of stock and effort the company put into promoting the game, but the fact that it’s in early access means that, given time, it should do just fine.
The Sims has over two decades' worth of brand recognition and loyalty behind it, whereas InZoi is a brand-new IP. The developers have already outlined and promised dozens of new features and updates for the game, and you have to imagine that when it is more complete, it will certainly give The Sims a run for its money. It’s not a great start, though.
