Summary
A Minecraft Movie is out in the wild, and judging bythe $301 million it made during its opening weekend, a lot of you have been to see it. That means a lot of you have seen Jennifer Coolidge’s on-screen romance with Nitwit, a Villager who wanders out of the Overworld and into the real one.
Coolidge has had a lot of fictional partners during her long and successful career, which is why it might come as quite a shock to learn that Nitiwit has surpassed them all to become her favorite on-screen partner of all time.Speaking to The Hook, Coolidge revealed the out-of-place Villager is the best on-screen romantic partner she has ever had.

“I didn’t really know I’d be that attracted,” Coolidge admitted. “Of all the scenes I’ve had over the years, with different people, different actors, and all the sex scenes and stuff. I have to say, I think my scene with Nitiwit… I think it’s the most I’ve ever been attracted to a character. Certainly turned on.”
Jennifer Coolidge Has Fallen For A Minecraft Villager
Not Just In The Movie, But Seemingly A Little Bit In Real-Life Too
While Coolidge appears to be deadly serious about her Nitwit attraction, Jason Momoa then asks her if she was shown a Villager before signing on for the movie. The American Pie star then jokes that she was sent a naked photo of Nitiwit, and that’s what convinced her to join the cast. At least I hope she was joking. I can’t handle that photo being out there somewhere, even if I never see it.
Having seen A Minecraft Movie, and honestly, liking it more than most based on what I’ve seen on social media, the Coolidge/Nitwit romantic B-story is one of my favorite things about it. Coolidge is also responsible for the line in the movie that made me laugh the most by quite some distance. Yes, there are moments in this film that are genuinely funny in an intentional way and not just because it’s fun to laugh at.

Despiteits low score on Rotten Tomatoesand what you’ve likely read about it on social media, A Minecraft Movie has been a smash hit so far. It has made almost twice as much asThe Super Mario Bros. Moviedid during its opening weekend. That means it will comfortably surpassSonic 3to become the second-highest-grossing video game movie ever, and there’s a very real chance it even manages to overtake the $1.3 billion Mario managed to make.
