Thankfully, those looking for something more meaningful may not have to wait much longer, with Warhorse Studios' PR Manager seemingly confirming the game’s first DLC is coming next month.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s First Major Update Could Be Coming In May
Ahead of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s release,Warhorse Studios released a roadmap for the game. This confirmed that three story expansions would be launching in Summer, Fall, and Winter 2025, respectively, but the window wasn’t narrowed down any further than that.
Now, a seemingly innocuous tweet from a few days ago that went completely unnoticed could have revealed that the game’s first piece of DLC is dropping in May.
One Twitter useraskedTobi Stolz-Zwilling, Warhorse Studio’s PR manager, if he had an ETA for the DLC, to which he simply responded, “May”. Given his status at the studio, this is as close to confirmation as we’re going to get ahead of an official announcement.
Speaking recently at Prague Comic-Con, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 executive producer Martin Klíma outlined some of the game’s cut content. He shared that35 quests had been cut pre-launch, including one where you kidnap Dracula. Internally, these quests were given “DLC status”, which Klíma said meant they had “the possibility of release in a future update.” It will be interesting to see if any see the light of day as part of this upcoming DLC launch.
I just hope Tom McKay and Luke Dale, who voice Henry and Hans respectively, have already recorded their voice lines. WithKingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s script already the longest ever in gaming, you have to imagine the guys need a break.
