Summary
WhileMonster Hunter Wildsis amongthe best received games of the year, it has also come with a series of complaints. Players have been complaining aboutvisual and performance issues since launch, along withmany reports of crashing. Othercomplaints, mostly by series veterans, revolve around the game being too easy.
It seems that nobody is complaining about the game being too easy anymore, and it’s all thanks to the game’s newest monster, Mizutsune. The monster was introduced aspart of Monster Hunter Wilds' first title update, along with the Grand Hub. While its base version is fine, it seems that hunters are struggling with Tempered Mizutsune.

Monster Hunter Wilds Players Are Having A Hard Time With Tempered Mizutsune
Tempered variants of monsters are stronger and even feature some new attacks. While Mizutsune is already very hard to keep up with, thanks to its explosive speed and quick attacks, the Tempered variant adds hard-hitting damage as well. It’s so strong, in fact, that even high level players are getting carted with one shot. What’s more? The attack is so fast that it doesn’t even give players time to dodge.
Over on Reddit, one player reached out to the community in hopes of understanding why their relatively strong build seems no match for Tempered Mizutsune. “Fully upgraded armor (4 piece Gore Ark chest), HP at 100%, +Defense from meal and Armorskin and I still get one-shot,” they said. “Yes, badly timed dodge from my part, but I feel like not being able to survive a shot under these circumstances is too much.”

It seems a lot of people are struggling with this monster. “I got one shot by a 5 strength tempered Mitzune tail slam yesterday with 430 defense. Yeah, the thing hits hard,” said one comment. “People who wanted harder monsters are now happy and silent, time for those who dislike difficulty to complain instead,” said another.
As for why Tempered Mizutsune hits so hard, one player noted that it’s because of Bubbleblight. “people have been sleeping on blights, so now they get bubbleblight and do nothing about it,” they noted. “When you have bubbleblight, you take more damage based on the speed you get hit by an attack. And Mizutsune moves fast.”

It seems that Tempered Mizutsune’s speed and blight work in unison to make it one of the hardest hunts in the game. So, make sure you’re carrying enough Cleanser with you when hunting the monster.
