Summary
Title Update 1ofMonster Hunter Wildsbrought with it a whole bunch of new content. The mysterious Wyverian songstress, Mizutsune, whoseTempered variant has been one-shotting players, and the Grand Hub all came as part of this update. While the Grand Hub has given players a place to gather and have fun when they’re not hunting, it’s also a place for hunter shenanigans.
If you happen to have an entire crew of hunters, you’re able to take over the Grand Hub and throw yourself a party before and after a hunt. While it’s a place to gather and celebrate, it’s also a place for ridiculous group activities. For instance, a group of friends – or absolute strangers – decided that it was the perfect place for the Avengers to assemble.
Monster Hunter: Doomsday
RedditorLeonDrummershared a video on the Monster Hunter subreddit, featuring 12 players cosplaying their hunters and armour to look like Marvel characters. It’s a good mix of Avengers and X-Men, so fans of both Marvel factions will be happy with it. The ensemble has posted for a photoshoot to show off their costumes.
It’s got Thor, who is , of course, wielding a hammer. Followed by Iron Man and a maskless Wolverine. Jean Grey, Rogue, and Magneto are repping the mutants in their classic X-Men outfits. Nick Fury is also among them, looking like he’s had it with all these mother fing monster on this mother fing continent.
Following them is Vision, Loki, and Spider-Man, with Doctor Doom as the only baddie, possibly as a nod to Avengers: Doomsday. Lastly, and characteristically out of place is Deadpool, who probably should have been placed before Doom. The players have carefully positioned themselves for their superhero-themed fashion hunter showcase.
A nice little touch was making all the Palicos dressed in the Mechanicus armour to look like Doombots. The video shows the heroes assembled around the arm wrestling barrel where Jean tries to take on Rogue, but we know who wins in a test of strength. Finally, the video is capped off with a strafing shot of all of them doing the superhero landing emote and the jazz-hands dance.
