There are a few sniper rifles that reign supreme inBlack Ops 6: Warzone, and the HDR is in consideration as one of the best that there is. Learning how to use every sniper rifle can be a bit of a task, considering most of them have different bullet velocities and such, but the HDR specifically is one of the easiest to pick up and use effectively.

But if you’re going to bring a sniper rifle with you in Warzone, you’re going to need to understand how to bring a loadout that supports it and doesn’t leave you only effective at enemies that are hundreds of meters away.

What Are The HDR’s Strengths?

The HDRis tied with the KATT-AMR for the highest-damage sniper rifle in the game, at360 damage on a headshot. The HDR does slightly less than the KATT on a body shot but has better handling and mobility.

The HDRdoes have a slow rate of firecompared to certain similar sniper rifles, but theease of use in most other aspects outweighs this drawbackin most situations.

When it comes to weapon attachments for the HDR, we’ll forego including full gunsmith builds because sniper rifle attachments are generally going to come down to preference. Largely, the only consistent focus with a sniper is a scope that you like, a good suppressor, and a medium or high-capacity magazine.

HDR | C9 Loadout

This loadout covers bothextremely long-rangeandextremely close-range engagements.There is a gap in the middle where neither weapon is extremely effective, but if you can manage your engagements to avoid those as best as possible, this will serve you well.

Overkill

Loadout Description

This loadout is designed mostly tofacilitate a long-range playstylebut also includes a couple of different things to help in close range.

TheC9 is a fantastic weaponfor close-range, and the extended magazine and recoil-controlling attachments are going to help when enemies try to get too close for your HDR.

When it comes to utility, the Spring Mine will enable you to cover one flanking route without needing to watch it.

The perk combination is going tosave you on armor in the long run, as well aslet you know when an enemy sniper has you in their sights. Reacting quickly to Alertness is going to save you from getting put down in one shot by an enemy sniper.

HDR | Kilo 141 Loadout

This loadout is similar to the last but brings along the Kilo in order tokeep you competitive in the medium-rangewhilesacrificing a little bit in the close-range department.The Kilo is still more than effective at close range, and this loadout is going to be a little bit more versatile overall, even if it has a lower ceiling.

The Kilo is going to bring apossibly more aggressive playstylesimply because getting caught out in the open isn’t going to be as punishing when you can hold your own in a mid-range engagement. You’ll bedangerous in more situations, which means you can take more fights.

Because of this added aggression, we’re bringing the Veteran and Cold-Blooded perks, allowing us to deal with enemy tacticals easier, keeping us off thermal scopes, and keeping enemy Trackers from being able to keep tabs on us.

HDR | .50 GS Loadout

Many times, you’ll have picked up a secondary weapon that you’re already comfortable with in Warzone. If that’s the case, you cangrab a loadout that doesn’t have Overkill in the Wildcard slot, allowing you some extra flexibility.

That said, the.50 GS is a very strong weapon in a skilled hand.

Bandolier

The.50 GS is a high-risk, high-reward weapon, much like the HDR. If you hit your shots, you’ll be able to hold your own against many other fully automatic weapons. If youmiss one shot, you’re going to fall behind.

This kind of playstyle rewards keeping yourself from being the center of attention or at least keeping yourself from getting ambushed.

This is a moot point if you’ve got a different secondary weapon that you’re carrying around; then, this loadout is bringing along a great sniper kit along with that other weapon. TheBandolier Wildcardis going to ensure that you’ve gotmultiple Spring Mines and Smoke Grenades at your fingertips, giving you plenty of options.
