Summary
Scalpers are truly the bane of every gamer’s existence, making it far more difficult to purchase the gadgets and gizmos that you want - everyone that’sever tried to get any limited-edition PlayStation item at launchprobably knows exactly what I’m talking about. With the upcoming release of theNintendo Switch 2, the scalpers are out in full force again, despite Nintendo’s best efforts to curb the problem.
Head over to resale websites like Ebay and Amazon, and you’ll easily find listings for Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders,with some going for upwards of $700. It’s a big problem with no real solution right now, but that hasn’t stopped Nintendo fans themselves from attempting to make the lives of these scalpers as difficult as possible.

Nintendo Fans Are Working To Remove Scalped Switch 2 Listings From Ebay
First spotted by GamesRadar, there are many posts on the Nintendo Switch 2 subreddit of what appear to be fans sharing the listings they managed to remove from places like Ebay and Amazon via reporting them. Sites like this most likely have rules against selling pre-orders, so Nintendo fans have been using that against the scalpers to get their listings completely shut down.
One such fan is Reddit user MrJava, who claims to have removed over 20 Nintendo Switch 2 pre-order listings, sharing a brief screenshot of their Ebay inbox as proof of their hard work.Another user called FroggoOwOshared their inbox too, revealing at least four reported listing successfully removed, while another user called No_Affect2755claims to have got another 15 removed.
They’re so committed to the craft that one user thatFroggoOwO has even created a templatefor other people to use in their reports, which describes the breach of Ebay’s terms and conditions that scalpers are committing. It’s all very wholesome stuff, and while it probably won’t make too much of a dent in the overall grand scheme of things, it’s nice to see people finally taking the fight back to the scalpers.
