Summary
Nintendo’s official website has confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2Mario Kart Worldbundle (which makes the game’s price much easier to deal with) is a limited-time offer, and only available while supplies last.
Yesterday, Nintendo finally gave us what we’ve allbeen waiting years for with the official unveiling of the Nintendo Switch 2and its first wave of first and third-party games. While the console itself looks surprisingly advanced and the games all look as good as you’d expect, there was one big issue that has become the Switch 2’s main talking point - the price.

While the Switch 2 itself is about as expensive as we all expected at $450, the controversy comes from how much games are going to cost, with Mario Kart World’s digital edition going for $80. As you can imagine, this has caused a lot of anger and worry from Nintendo fans, and the only thing making the bitter pill easier to swallow is a bundle that apparently comes with its own problems.
Mario Kart World Switch 2 Bundle Is Going To Be Limited-Time
As If Getting A Switch 2 Isn’t Hard Enough
The bundle in question is the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle, which comes with a digital copy of the game for $499.99,essentially knocking off around $30 and making Mario Kart World a much more sensible $50 overall. This has made the bundle the most sought-after version of the Switch 2, but it seems that’s going to cause some issues in itself.
As reported by Nintendo Lifeand confirmed by Nintendo itself, the Switch 2’s Mario Kart World bundle is a limited-time offerthat’s only going to be available through to Fall 2025 “while supplies last”. At the moment, this is only confirmed for the US version of the bundle, but it makes sense that it’d be a worldwide thing and that the Mario Kart World edition of the Switch isn’t going to be around for long.

Considering how many issues the high price of Mario Kart World has already caused, the only version of the game that makes it a more palatable price being so limited isn’t going down well with fans. While there are likely to be other bundles along the way, it’s yet another problem point in a console that’s already got a lot of backlash.
