Nitro is a beginner-friendly Lancer inFragpunkwith a relatively straightforward kit. She has a deployable drone that can be used to scout safely around bomb sites, distract the enemies while your teammates push, and, if your aim is particularly good, even snag a couple of kills.

Nitro also has two deployable turrets that will automatically fire at anyone within their radius, ideal for covering your flank. Lastly, she has two deployable walls that can be used to create temporary cover or as a ledge to help you get better angles on your opponents.

Nitro Overview

Here’s a look at all of Nitro’s abilities.

(Q) Chug Chug- Nitro’s drone can bedeployedand controlled remotely. It deals 20 damage per hit, but it fires quite slowly. You can jump in and out of the drone when you want.

(E) The Wall- This is Nitro’s wall that she candeploy. It’s technically a half-wall as it’s not as big as Pathojen’s. It has a small health pool and is mostly used for cover.

Fragpunk Nitro With Chug Chug

(T) Mr. PewPew- This is probably Nitro’s most useful bit of kit. It’s ideal for covering your flank as you hold down a position, as if you hide thedeployable turret,it will usually fire before the enemy can spot it and destroy it.

How To Use Chug Chug

Nitro’s drone might seem a little useless when you first start trying it out, but in fact, it’s avery useful little tool.

Don’t think of Chug Chug as a weapon to get you kills, but rather as adistraction, adisruption, and a tool forscouting outan area before you push forwards.

Fragpunk Nitro’s Turret

Most of the time, your opponents will be distracted by the drone, which might give a player on your team an opportunity to strike. It takes a little bit ofcommunicationto actually get right.

How To Use The Wall

Nitro’s wall can be used to generate some quick temporary cover, but it’s also great at providing anextra ledgeto stand on - sometimes offering you anunique anglethat your opponents aren’t expecting.

Experiment with using the wall in different locations. Often you can find different angles along corridors, downstairs, or other locations by using the wall to get a height advantage.

How To Use Mr. PewPew

Nitro’s small automatic turrets are the best part of her kit. She can use them to cover her flank as she controls a point on the map.

The turrets also do arespectableamount of damage and will continue firing until the enemy destroys it. Not only can this be frustrating for an opponent during a gunfight, it can also give you a split-second advantage when peeking around corners. If your opponent is destroying your turret, they aren’t shooting you.

Nitro Defensive Tips

Nitro is able to secure a bombsite while the barriers are still up. You can place down turrets on walls - we often like to put turretsabove doorways so that they instantly shoot when an enemy walks through them.

You can essentially use these turrets as free vision. If your turret is shooting someone, you know they have attempted to push in a certain direction.
