Summary

The worst-kept secret in video games has finally been officially revealed.Oblivion Remastered is real and it’s available now. To celebrate its arrival,Bethesdahas also created a replica ofOblivion’s gate and is selling them right now. The statues are limited edition though and won’t be around for long.

While not a part of Oblivion Remastered’s official reveal on Tuesday, the gate statue was added to Bethesda’s gear store shortly after the remaster went live onPC,PS5, andXbox, includingGame Pass. The statue has orange LEDs incorporated into its design to make it look like flames are bordering the gateway, just like in the game.

Even though the statue is still in stock at the time of typing this, it almost certainly won’t be for long.Bethesda has only created 2,006 of these statues. That’s not a random number. It’s an homage to the year the original version of Oblivion was released. That means once those 2,006 statues are sold, the gate will be gone forever, andjudging by how many of you have already been playing Oblivion Remastered on Steam alone, these gate statues will sell out fast.

You Can Now Own An Oblivion Gate

It Lights Up And Everything, But It’s Too Small To Pass Through

The statue isa little more than eight inches tall and is powered by USB, meaning you may have it sitting right alongside you, connected to the same PC you’re replaying Oblivion on if you like.It costs $155and you can buy it at the Bethesda Gear store through the link in the box below right now. No pre-orders, no year-long wait for your gate to arrive. Just buy it right now and it will, hopefully, be with you before you’ve finished your remastered playthrough. That ultimately depends on how fast you plan on speeding through it.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered LED Gate Statue

Bethesda has turned an Oblivion Gate into a very limited edition collectible. The statue has orange LEDs incorporated into its design to replicate the flames that surround gates in the game. It’s more than eight inches tall and only 2,006 of them are available - an homage to the year the first game was released.

It hasn’t even been 24 hours since Oblivion Remastered shadow dropped. That means, despite unofficially knowing this remaster was coming since 2023, there’s still so much to learn as we play through the polished version of The Elder Scrolls 4. We already know thatthe remaster’s character creator has the same freedom as the original, and thatthere’s horse armor locked behind a more expensive edition of the game. Still undecided if I’m pleasantly amused by that detail or furious that Bethesda has done it again 19 years later.
